The man was rubbing Pogba's chest as well. All that was left was to hit Pogba with that finger in the ass like Jara did for Cavani.

Some gay vibes from Rudiger :/

Not sure if he was trying to hurt him or was he enjoying himself.

Fun counters? A billion euros worth of players and all they could come up is fun counters? Sorry mate, just not my cup of tea.

Bobo explained it nicely. National teams have very few times to experiment, actually coach. Best playing national teams were teams like old Spain or old Germany with great players used to play together at club levels in recent time. In old time, it was different; talent alone was enough to play joga bonito. Even Brazil with all their fancy players are a boring team. Argentina despite the best player in the world and some other talented ones like Di Maria have been meh.

Then you add someone like Deschamps as the national team coach : a pragmatical coach and an adept of "defend well first". It is evidenced by the qualities of the fullbacks who are defenders first and foremost and who can play CB.

Thankfully they have some very talented players like Pogba who can ping the ball precisely and accurately to their threatening forwards. Even a Griezmann works hard defensively.

France NT are not that suited for joga bonito type of play.

Is it any surprise that Rudiger is behaving like that when his managers at the sidelines scratchin’ and sniffing all game.

Deschamps' France must be one of the most sterile and boring teams ever.

He has the best squad by miles compared to everyone else the last 5 years, and he is just incapable of making them play decent football.
He can only have them sit back in numbers, create no big chances, hope the opponent will make a mistake or Mbape will use his speed to turn a lost long ball into a goalscoring opportunity.
Entirely Pathetic!

And this limited and mediocre coach won World Cup, simply because of the lack of a well-oiled attacking power like Spain or Germany of the past.
Whoever loves football, should hope to see France getting eliminated

When one thinks of the strength and style of German national teams, this was poor.France defended on mass. There was no spaces between the lines and the front players of France were deep in their own half, when without the ball.
So Germany could not find a way through. But this German team were appalling in the final third. The pass into the box a hit and hope, invariably straight to the opposition.
Yet, France won by a solitary own goal. The WC winners managing only one goal against the poorest German team that I have seen.
Because of the style of the French, and the Hope for football, they must not win the Euros.

If Germany and France bring their A game in these next two matches, there is still hope for a Portugal group stage exit

Very disappointing to watch Euros. Something needs to be done to make attacking football successful again. Defensive teams are setting the tone. Worst so far was Swedish team that earned a scoreless draw, but even France was no fun to watch.

Or Finnish.

Maybe limiting the amount of players you can have in the penalty area for example? It would create more space.

But you are right, offensive football should be supported more

The biggest issue here is the quality difference. Finland doesn't have any talent to play other game than park the bus. Why play otherwise? It doesn't make sense. They just don't have the roster. The quality differences are too big. Too many teams in Euro.

Cut down the team amount.

Germany v France was a snooze fest. Can't believe a team with such an amazing squad like France plays such mediocre football. Haven't been impressed at all by any of the teams so far. Defensive tactics set the tone of the game while the 80% possession opponent tries to break in through the center lane because their wingers and fullbacks don't try once to dribble past the defender. BORING AND LACKLUSTRE SO FAR.

I'm not saying all teams should play attacking football. Some of them just don't have the players to do that and rely on motivation, luck, defensive tactics etc.

But France is stacked all over the park and have not altered their squad all that much since the WC. I get it they are not Barcelona 2011 or Ajax '95, but they look like Atletico Madrid at their worst.

Anyway, I'm not French so don't give a fuck. Hopefully they get eliminated by a team that wants to play ball at this tournament.

I would be quite surprised if France doesn't win the whole thing. They played within themselves last night, but they also did the same at the 2018 World Cup during the group stage, where they looked very reserved and ordinary.
