They tend to raise game vs bigger teams and take foot off gas in other matches.

It is a fast transition team that likes to sit back. Against lower opposition, they need to actually play against their nature.

It helps they have Pobga to launch perfect balls for their forwards.

Bayern is much better than Germany. I like Hernandez too. Bayern actually has 4 French NT players (Hernandez, Pavard, Tolisso and Coman).

Bayern is better ofc. They supplement the poor position in their national team with players like Hernandez or Lewandowski, not even a debate. Still, the skeleton of German national team is Bayern.

About Hernandez : he was unlucky witj injuries in previous year but he is THE player i have dreamt for PSG since 2018. The guy is solid both at CB and LB. Lucky Bayern...

I agree with that sentiment in club football, especially when teams like Man United, Chelsea, Real Madrid or PSG do it, after having outspent most opponents using "un-natural" money.

In international tournaments I think all countries are entitled to play however they want, both because they can't do "anything" about their player pool and because they also have very little time to develop a good style and should probably be best to use what is easiest to play for the players they have at hand.
