Erling Braut Haaland

The guys I mentioned has won so many balon/Fifa awards that is voted by the best 0.1 of the rest of the 1% you mentioned. Unless you really think those voters don't have same knowledge you have on football.

Sure, some of them had short career primes, but 99% of the 1% (coaches and journalists) would take that short prime over players who dominated longer but was less dominant.
You know why? Because as you said football is complex, and players with such talents have the most ability to solve it.

Most of the players you mentioned were granted free roles. They were allowed to concentrate on what they do best, while 1 or even 2 teammates had to be limited to the dirty work to cover for that. That's not always translating to a better team.

If you look at recent CL winners like Liverpool, Madrid or Bayern, then these teams weren't overloaded with flair or individualists. Even Ronaldo as you said "matured" his playstyle to replace aesthetics with functionality and only then he actually started to compete with Messi. Sure these teams still had fantastic technical capabilities, but generally they played no-bullshit football and very visibly dominated through that.

Hell if you also look at the country with the most NT titles its Brazil, which is quite clearly very flairful.
And then? Germany. Or Italy. Which proves that rainbow flicks and sombreros are not the only way to solve the complexity of football. For every Zidane, there was a Matthaeus. You don't want Ballon D'Ors, you want titles. And a dude with the potential to score 40+ goals each season for 10 years straight will eventually get there.

Griezmann 50, Coutinho 40. Or 40 40. Firpo 10-15. Thats it.

Nobody is spending 50m on Grizemann when he's on 500k a week. Besides, Grizemann will just do what Dembele and Umtiti have done. As long as they're getting their big wages, they won't give a crap if they'll sit on the bench.

Coutinho could potentially go out on loan, but we're not going to get a transfer fee for him. He didn't play that well this season, and he's been injured for the past 3 months.

We could get 15m for Firpo, so that's pretty realistic.

Dembele might get a new contract, but we could get 40m to 50m for Dembele. He's been in decent form, and he has been playing a lot more this season. Teams might take a risk on him..... and he's still pretty young. And his wages could be manageable for other teams.

How would we play with Haaland and Messi?

Can only see him coming if Messi leaves, not only from a footballing POV but also economic.

Messi cannot stay with his current wage of course.
He would need to take a big big pay cut for us to hold him. It's up to him and the way Barto sells his project.
I believe if he gives messi a "captain" role to guide the talented young blood of the team, he would do it. Not sure if he even sees himself in another team at this age. Time will tell.

There might be better teams but there are no better clubs to go to, besides with Haaland in the team Barca instantly become much better. Barca are not in bad a shape as made out, I think we are only about 3 or 4 players away from fighting for the Champions League again and Haaland could be the first of those which would also attract the others and show Barca are going back to the top.

Graham Hunter stated on Irish radio this morning that Barcelona will have huge financial resources this summer that will allow them to go in for Haaland so it should be interesting.

Yes. Sooooo many far better clubs to go to. Who are these far better clubs...?

For him at this stage in his career , Bayern , both Manchester teams , Liverpool , Chelsea and both Milan sides. They can all afford him something Barca cannot do and have stronger squads than Barca as well. The guy is a machine and needs the best around him , something right now he wont get at Barca. Three ridiculous signings destroyed the club and its going to take a long time till they are back at the top to be able to sign players like this.
