Eduardo Camavinga

Lizarazu he is

Great in space. Reined in the fouling and times tackles better as would be expected with natural progression. He will add on ball composure too I'm sure. Won't be a Lahm but easily has peak Maicon potential

Did we decide he's a fullback? Ate Raphinha for breakfast

He has raphinha in his pocket ten entire game, did an Aruajo on raphinha, who is our primary creative outlet

Most decent fullbacks will shut Raphinha down 1on1 to be fair.

Very solid game though, probably Xavi dream fullback. If he could he would have an 11 of converted midfielders- even the goalkeeper.

You're welcome
Weird thing was he rarely made the overlap run. Maybe 1 or 2. Guess Ancelotti has same opinion about him as I have had. Great defensive job though.

This lad is a top player. Thought he was class in both ties against Liverpool in the DM and looks very capable at LB.

He will become one of the best LBs in the world if he stays at that position. He is perfectly suited for that role.

As a midfielder he doesn't give a high level and I imagine soon he will be converted full-time to left back.

Yeah, massive potential. Madrid transfers except for Hazard obviously have all been top imo or at least good.

New Sergi Roberto.
This aged like milk. The copest cope on the forum almost

Carlo taking Deschamps idea to make this guy a Lahm/Trent-type inverted fullback not only solves issue of Cama's place in rotation. It also opens up opportunity to sell an otherwise average player in Mendy to at least break even on money invested (which is tough with big clubs) and it gives Vinicius space he wants if he wants it. Has everything he needs to become a weapon.
Tackling issues not existent.
Stays calm on big stage, even raises game
Makes good decisions (unlike Mendy) and had the most key passes + assisted
Presses like an animal (40 pressures from leftback, most in team against the highest pressing team in the world)
Rarely injured

Difficult to dislike
Be interested how he contrasts with Fran who is a left back that loves to carry ball upfield

He was good and bad yesterday.

Slack pass thar led to goal and couple others on break.

A lot of good moments also.

Surprised Pep never had anyone to go and run at him or to get in behind. Very caurtios and City got back into shape any time Real had ball.

Sergi Roberto was a great RB when he first converted there though.

And didn't City goal come from a Camavinga hospital pass. And then they almost got a second on a counter from Camavinga trying to breakdance.
