Joan Garcia also even if not at Barca.

Barcelona has been like that for years though.

It dipped when La Masia fell behind curve before was updated in 2014/15.

Laporta in his first stint and Rossels they did very little to modernise it and it fell behind what could be.

PS is Barcelona emerging as one of the leading places for talents in the world these days.

Because most of the talents we've produced recently are basically local boys.

Fati
Balde
Yamal
Cubarsi
Bernal
Fermin
Casado
The cousins
Dro
Jofre
Ebrima
Virgili (from the area if not Masia).

First 7 are already full time first team players are use to be (fati) and the other 5 at least 3 seems likely to make it.

That's a pretty good run
Ruslan Mba
Ebrima
Moreno
Gistau

Can be the answer to all 4 attacking positions. Of course I doubt a La Masia 9 ever works out because we need instant results and that means experience.

Barcelona system coupled with immigration is working wonders for the Barcelona talents these days.

The City ain't London, but it doesn't need to be shared with 6 other top clubs dipping their toes in the pool, or even 1 as in Madrid.

Huge advantange for us. Hopefully Laporta doesn't cost cut too much as brings back the transport subsidies for top young players.

Forget Dro.
Forget Guille
Forget Toni

Ebrima Tunkara is going straight to the top.

While we are at it get ready to forget Olmo and Fermin too. 2 yrs he starts in the 10.

Can't be sure of who it is but masia is cooking up another yamal somewhere in the next 1-4 years

I am kind of afraid from such expectations.

It happened after 1987 generation and it was blown into our faces. I hope it will be different this time.

No way Fermin is going to be forgotten anytime soon. Too much of an elite scoring midfielder (not to mention a pressing machine as well), that kid will have a great career with us (even if just as a squad player eventually, IF this Tunkara kid or someone else makes it into a superstar, which is a very big IF), regardless of who comes up from La Masia in the next few years.

Agree about the others (Dro seems too green and weak (another Puig) while the Fernandez brothers will be loaned out sooner than later, and then sold eventually. Especially in Guille's case I see a loan or even sale with a buy back coming in the very near future. Maybe Toni could still make it into a squad player (after a season or two on a good loan somewhere), but not if the talent from La Masia doesn't dry up, which is looking extremely likely.

We should especially cash out on Olmo as soon as possible (even if we'll take a (small) loss on him, which I'm pretty much taking for granted already), until he's still worth at least 40-50M to some clubs.

Why, oh why tf did we have to waste 60M on him, just because Laporta was butthurt about losing Nico, meanwhile we already knew we had an elite talent in Fermin in the same position, especially after the U21 Euro and the Olympics performances. I think they actually thought they could transform Olmo into a LW...when he's the most classic CAM ever...not to mention one of THE most injury prone players in the game...but since he's a home grown boy, we need to bring him back. Another fucking Fabregas all over again, lol.

Yeah Olmo is pretty much a mistake. Fermin i don't agree is as good overall as people think. Yes he is a great striker of the ball but we need somebody dominant at the 10 physically as well as mentally. Fermin goes missing a lot.

Fermin is good though don't get me wrong. But yes the others are all just flashes in a pan.

Tunkara can play 10 or winger as well and both at a good level. I am so ready to see what he has at the top level
