Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
Why don't you ask one of the best players in Liverpool history why he broke his back to leave Liverpool to come to Barcelona.

Suarez left not because of Messi but because when he was a child it was his dream to play with : 'one Champions League ( at that time ) winning Barcelona'. And then there was Masch and then there was Coutinho.

In Spanish speaking countries Barca has always been humongous compared to Liverpool , pre Messi , post Messi, even before 1992 when Barca didn't have any Champions Leagues.

Barca has always been the most popular foreign club in Brazil by far, nothing to do with Messi, or any Champions League, but more to do with Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, R9, Romario and now Raphinha.

Ridiculous cope .

Because it was one of the worst periods in our history, we weren't in the CL and it wasn't a competitive squad. We had a bang average squad and manager. The season before he wanted to join Arsenal so it isn't the flex you think it is. It was our banter era.

Barca at the time were the top dogs. We were nowhere near them.

Klopp revived the club. It was a fallen giant before that. Compare the current squads of both the clubs. Liverpool has successfully returned to its level.

The club is not an individual entity. It's a collective unit. The fact that the club has more European pedigree than Barca despite not having those icons/individuals is the great part. I hope it stays that way. That's the identity of the club. I don't want us to just go out there and sign the hottest Brazilian superstar like Barca and Madrid do.

Juventus have way more all time great icons than Liverpool. Yet our European pedigree completely dwarfs them. That's the beauty lmao.

Wouldnt have him as a great defender or aggressive/athletic as a Gerrard type.

More technical but not with same bite.

Fronting up not many better a on those straight on FKs way hits the ball.

On Alexander Arnold... some of the defending Szob has shown this season TAA would have been crucufied for.

Not as aggressive but he's very athletic and has amazing stamina and pressing ability.

More technical? He doesn't have Gerrard's passing range or final ball.

Szoboszlai is a midfielder. Trent was a Right Back. Ofcourse he would be crucified for defending poorly. WTF is this comparison?

Just looks like a midfielder covering RB in same way Trent looked when there.

Hence why pointing to his versitality at RB doesnt really work to any great level same as out wide. Can cover in emergencies but not great there.

Top player and good technically. Dont agree he is a great defender and gets drifted past a bit too easily at times but thats not the players he is at his best anyway or what in team for.

Trent played RB all his senior career.

Szoboszlai was a makeshift RB in 5 games because of injuries.

You do realise that we signed Frimpong and Szoboszlai isn't going to be the RB going forward, don't you?

He's a great presser not a great defender. Just very hardworking in all phases of play.

Trent was a midfielder in youth categories and looked like that in first team in terms of his defending.

As said similar things that TAA would get slated for and not a comfortable RB.

Gone from 'he has top games and versatile at RB' to ...'what do you expect from him he is not a RB'.

You claim he was top v City at RB? Not for me at all. Looked like didnt know how to play there.

Well aware he is not the RB and covering there.. dont agree with you it is a string to his bow or played well there.

He wasnt that v City outwith the FK.

His defending wasnt great and was poor twice on the equaliser.

MOTM v Arsenal for his FK mainly.. well deserved. Arsenal barely tried to attack other than win set pieces.

His whole behavior on the pitch is Gerrard-esque
Constant running, off the ball movement, crazy intensity, defending like a mad man, being everywhere, and of course his foot

IMO it's a blessing for you Arnold left. Now this demon takes all free kicks
Arnold was the reason Liverpool could skip midfield to progress the ball.

Winning league titles in Spain which has nearly always been a duopoly isn't the same as winning it in England which is far more competitive.

Isn't that the point you guys constantly bring up in Bayern and Juventus debates?

European trophies are a far better metric to judge with level playing field.

A manager like Xavi would never win a PL for instance.

Again, you'll naturally have more social media fans globally because your golden era coincided with the rise of social media. And people like Messi and Ronaldinho add a lot of temporary fans to the club.

Before 2006 (the start of your golden era), Barca had only 1 European Cup/CL in their entire history.
Barca always have bigger pull than Liverpool ever. Even before Barca first ever UCL. Pele had good history with Barca despite never joined. Johan, Maradona all were Barca players while they were still in their prime/young. That's 3 of GOAT footballers.

Henderson and Fabinho are very underrated on the ball. Fabinho was great at doing this in his peak.

No one is denying Trent's amazing passing ability and vision. On the ball, he's generational for an RB.

Zob is flavour of the month because previous "world's best midfielder, better than Pedri" Gravenberch is back to playing shite and previous to him Canelo McAllister is also back to playing like shite until Messi re-ignites his bum career.

I give it two months until Zob is back in catering hungry for playing time.
