I still believe we were willing to make a certain sale for Nico to come here, but not for other options.

Makes sense. And if that's the case, pretty sensible. Other targets are not worth it for me, also considering their age, to sell one of our younger players. I assume you mean Fermin as potential sale most likely.

So basically situation is much worse than Laporta has made everyone believe. Again, reckon he had to lie to buy some time and make better deals but after this season when he struck gold and Flick did a miracle he could have come clean, at least re. no big transfers possible. Don't think many would mind.
Instead everyone got excited for nothing and now it's backfiring as people start criticising Deco and co.

We'll see what happens until September 1 but can't be too optimistic about strengthening all positins Flick asked for.

If the German has back surgery and is four months off or more, Barça would first register the former Espanyol and the Polish's turn would come with other operations [MD]

Nico has been teasing Barca for two season now. His release clause was in the acceptable range of 57m during that period.

We signed Olmo last season for 65m IIRC instead of 57m Nico, because ETA separatists kidnapped his family or whatever. Get over it. He'll be let go once big offers from England arrive. Peanuts for Chelsea and big money for Bilbao.

The front trident of Lamine - Raph - Lewa backed up by Sharky did great last season. Focusing on solid wing-backs should be the main priority IMO. Not to rely on Tercera players to cover up in CL 1/2 finals.

Nobody knows what this guy does...

From September - May he is in stadiums watching games. From June - Aug he gets the rug pulled from beneath his feet on the transfers that he apparently 'plans' for during the season.

Never seen anything like it. It's incredible.

Sounds like he should switch careers and put those rug pull skills into good use with crypto.

He managed to close both construction sites in the squad (GK and LW) without spending a fortune, 1,5 months before the window closes and in time for Flick to have a proper pre-season with them.
United wanted to either sell Rashford, or to loan him out with an mandatory buy obligation. Many United fans are unhappy with the conditions that Deco got from United, loaning Rashford for one year without any risk for us.

Wouldn't even surprise me if Deco leaked all the Diaz information to the press, to distract him working on a good deal with Rashford.

Now the club closed the most urgent positions and can calmly watch the market until the end of August to see, if something interesting opens up or not. The usual suspects won't recognize this of course. Good job Deco, I'm sure Flick is very satisfied.

Now it's on Laporta to register everyone.

He fucked up on the Nico deal firstly by talking too much and then not getting the real over the line

But with the 3 players we signed so far it's good business for 28m euros.

If only be could sign a LB.
