He and his team had a year to sit and watch tape; he should have a list of players for all positions he thinks we need to strengthen.
Only thing left is for Flick to go over the final list to narrow it down to his first choice and a backup if that falls through.
There is no way he should need help identifying talent, maybe just in negotiating with clubs.

This. I think this summers targets are already set and decided.
For going forward it's a smart addition. Especially if we want to build a better footprint in the German youth market. I think we dipped our toes but failed on a few targets bar Darvich.

I think for Flick this summer could be exciting. Same as Deco. The first summer they should have some funds to use. Some moves they probably wanted to make earlier but couldn't. Let's see what they have for us. It's going to be interesting.
Flick isn't clueless. He did everything he could with this team and maybe even beyond what you could believe. Imagine if he had actual money to fix weaknesses? I am very curious. Flick we trust.

If the club is trying to mix Germany efficient with masia/Barca magic, I can't be mad at that.
Could be a very be something very very good for the club.
If deco is admitting he needs help to keep the club at the top, I can respect it.
But if he as not identified the players we need this summer already, he's terrible.

No coach should know every league and every player the organisation buys. It's too much of a work. You have to let scouts work their magic and others too.
Do you believe them though?
That we haven't sat down to discuss targets or will go for the positions he said?
If it is true, will be a very slow window.
Says we dont practically need anyone BEFORE meeting and discussing with Flick.
