Not sure Huijsen is the answer, but with Inigo’s age, Cubarsi’s inexperience, Christensen’s injury problems….

I’m not sure CB is as secure as we think.

You absolutely do not want Araujo or Eric Garcia to start as CBs in a match vs. a top team either.

Maybe not this summer, but we might need to look at something next year.

Question is.

Would you rather streghten CB position which is not our weakest link, or you would strenghten non existing fullbacks and left wing.

It is that simple.

One or another.

He's impressed me a few times this season, played especially well at Old Trafford (which opposition player doesn't, admittedly). But he looks good.

Tall, good in the air, intelligent marking, good on the ball and good under pressure. He needs to fill out body wise for a centre half, but he's still young. He's got a long way to go but the tools might be there. He could crash and burn too, of course. However, still hope Real don't sign him.

Side bar he might end up being better than Cubarsi long term.

He as a lot of the same characteristics relating to passing.

BUT from Juve to Bournemouth to Madrid, he's playing for teams that emphasize his development as a defender.

Cubarsi on the other hand will spend the next two years mastering the off side trap.
