It's hilarious how seriously he is chasing goal scoring in that bum league

He's just chomping at the bits to get to "1,000" career goals and use that as the biggest achievement ever made in football

The modern Pele but awful at the biggest stage

I won't compare him to Pele. He was a helluva playmaker, gets overlooked, some of the GOAT goals on film are due the brilliant vision of the man.

True true, I should clarify I meant in the context of counting goals from non-competitive leagues and making insane/senile comments

Otherwise, Pele is forever part of the Holy Trinity of football along with Messi and Maradona.

You see there's a reason people talk about Franz Beckenbauer, not Gerd Muller. Johan Cruyff is not considered legend, because he was a goalscoring machine, but his finesse and high IQ.

You mentioned Maradona and the reason he's in the Holy Trinity is not his goalscoring record. Luis Suarez has scored 150 goals more than Diego BTW.

Poor bait by the washed up "scientist" as usual.

Says a lot about someone's intelligence when they use "Modern Day Pele" as an insult.

even Modern Pele doesnt describe this outstanding man, 5 cls, 3 in a row, over 140 goals in Champions League lol, most goals ever in one cl season 17 goals 2 times! ) , even hattrick in a WC against Spain and now with nearly 40 on his way to win his 6th Champions League in his amazing career, guy owned the biggest competition in football! :worthy:

Also successfully adapted to 3 different top leagues, 1 decent league and 1 shit league over a span of 20 years.

Won his country their first ever International Trophy.

His career and achievements are pretty unique.

As a wise man said a long time ago: 'You can't be the best player if you never played in the best league (PL)'

Very wise man :pique:

Ah, the weekly CR7 hate post by KL. What a novel idea!

On Topic, CR7 is semi-retired from Football and is pretty awful these days. If he wants to have some fun in the Saudi League then it's fine but doubt anyone thinks CR7 has much to offer at this point. He's been finished since his first season at United ended.

Damn, you really do patrol the threads on here. Took all of 10 mins for you to pop up here as CR7's unpaid defense lawyer
