Copa Final: Barca - Real 3-2 COPA CHAMPIONS!

Valverde's arm was in natural position going to ground, rules explicitly state never a pen.

Valverde’s handball’s not a pen, that’s for sure.

How can this never be a pen ? I don't understand.

So let's say .... if a player , who is last man in goal , goes to the ground in the same way Valverde did , to try to guess and stop a goal , he guesses the side where the shot is taken , while sliding to the ground , the shot hits his hand who is away from his body and not planted on the ground , and the referee can't dictate a penaldo because of some kind of rule ?

Then this is fucking stupid , if the case. I would understand if he does the slide and his hand is already on the ground , then fair , not a penalty but what happened yesterday is just stupid.

Look at Rodrygo and Bel

Cruyff:

A player has the ball for an average of three minutes per match, this is proven by statistics. The best ones – Zidane, Ronaldinho, Gerrard – four. Defenders – two. So the most important thing is what he does the other 87 minutes without the ball. This is what determines whether you are good or not.

---------

Many fans - most of whom are idiots - don't understand this. They notice episodes like this when their team concedes a goal.

This is why it's difficult to understand how good a player is watching a game on TV, you need to watch him from the stands.

You're welcome
People sometimes forget the followup debate.

Penalty or not, if if were Real would the decision be the same?

Refs have been pretty consistent with these handballs recently.

As for the others... if that happened to Real they would lynch the ref. Literally.

Since the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the IFAB:
However, except in the situations outlined above, a player will not usually be penalised when the ball touches their hand/arm if:
  • a player falls down and their hand/arm is between their body and ground for support

I don't go Barca socials but is this the level of our social media team generally?

No real football fan wants to see a lady interrupting the action stating the obvious every 30 seconds.

No real football fan wants to hear generic music when Barca score a winning goal in the last 5 minutes of a cup final. Or when they are lifting the trophy.

We want to hear the fans.

They need to get proper football fans heading up the social side.

Damn, already murdered 3 beers and bottle of wine, gonna start insulting every madrid idiot in the area soon
It depends generally it goes to the next season copa generally. But the seriousness of Rudiger’s offence could mean an exception is applied.

Nah, they need to be lenient again and enable their players even more so next time some of their lot commit a proper assault. Karate kick or bottle splitting someone's head.
That would be one for the books.

Real fans feel like England fans.. bit bland and fully expect to win and consider themsevles the best of all.

Barca fans are like Argentina fans.. far more passion, energy and go ballistic when win

Fans were fucking sensational yesterday.

You were there? Well done 👍

Yes, it is.
We have the worst social media team in the world.
Well, watching how the club has worldwide the most followers on all SM channels, I think it's quite the opposite. They have market analysts and they know the Social Media mass are Gen Z kiddies who love shit like this, so they make videos for them.
