Club World Cup

Yea true, was thinking the same, I wonder if there is any games in Vegas, would also be a good sport to avoid the heat.

I get the logistics of giving the final to MetLife, but a mid day final in NY summer, will be rough

Should have been played in sofi or at Dallas

MetLife is such a dead stadium as well.

World Cup here next year and we cried when they gave it to Qatar lol

A country with no football culture or public interest, with tornados flying around stadium during the game and shit unknown stadiums. Great place to host a world cup

But 1994 was good, after all only thing that matters is what happens on the pitch so I guess we'll be ok

Benfica traveled all this way, play games in the burning sun, to win a grand total of 6 million dollars about 5 million after US taxes.
Where did you get the numbers? Just for reaching the round of 16, you get 6m. Here are some from a German outlet: Earnings for all teams after the groupstage:

The commentators while I was watching the game
They must have meant the sum just for reaching the round of 16. No european team would travel that far and play for a month after the season's ending for 6m in total. They'd get more in pre-season friendlies. The only reason they participate is for the ridiculous amount of money.

Yea must have been what they meant, given the info you posted, so roughly 12m they got before taxes.

Still not great given that tax on the players, but better than 5/6.

I'm trying to be super positive here, knowing full well that PSG are almost certain to win. But I don't like the fact they don't have a traditional striker in their front 3. It makes them as a team, not clinical at all.

People don't realise that their 3 winger system is generally not clinical, because the only full game they watched was the one game, ironically, they were clinical ( The 5 - 0 Vs Banter Milan. )

But they are not normally like that. Normally it takes them 10 odd half chances before they score.

A 1-0 win with a Leo free kick and holding on for dear life against a team with no recognised striker? I'm here for it . :messiwc:

I like your optimism but no chance if they're remotely serious

You would need a fully firing Barca from like Jan - March of this year to give Lucho's PSG an even game.
