Loaning him with buy option would only make sense if we could get a useful player from Arsenal or Tottenham in return. Partey would be great but won't happen. Don't know who else we could consider.

After his contract renewal last year Lenglet's wages are relatively low for next two seasons AFAIK. As poor as he's been at least he's always healthy. Offloading him and keeping Umtiti who's on higher wages and can't stay fit for 3 games just don't make sense.

Also, if it would be a loan with non-obligatory option they would never buy him when they'll see how exposed he'll be in EPL.
