Clément Lenglet (loaned to Aston Villa)

Surprise there is no mention of him in the France dressing room shitshow after the game. Pogba, Pavard, Varane and Rabiot blamming each other for defensive mistakes yet this man gets away with it.

Noone is expecting anything from him I guess.

And I honestly thought his past year was just a bad stretch, and generally that he would be a great 3rd or 4th choice CB (or interim solution for now), but it's getting clearer by the day that we should just cut our losses. I have seen him getting manhandled like against Switzerland far too often now. At some point it's not just form anymore.

I mean, why would they blame him? He wasn't on the pitch when they throw away 3-1 lead in last 10 minutes.

Fans are different but when you lose after penalties hot-headed players usually don't think about a mistake that happened almost two hours ago. They have a lot more fresher things in their minds to "discuss".

Lenglet was also subbed out at HT so maybe in his teammates opinion he was already punished for his bad performance.

Just because Barca fans hate this guy doesn't mean his teammates must also believe he's the main culprit for their loss. Especially when as said above he wasn't even playing when they've bottled two goal lead.

Not a really big deal about the french players arguing either. They lost a match that was in their hands. Wasn't Messi moaning to Aguero too agaisnt Bolivia

The funny thing is Rabiots mum. She needs to go to Gambia and get with 2 or 3 stallions and lose all that tension.

Its players like rabiot who get blamed when things like this happen. Its good that his mother his standing up for him and calling out Mpabbe for his arrogane and shit performance.
Reminds me of Kevin Durant s momma

Yes and Wolves. My favourite two teams in PL. Makes watching their games more interesting too.

Certainly much better than Arsenal who were continually selling us their rejects, lol.

Still dislike them up to this day for that even if they've become almost irrelevant in recent years and have some players I like.

If I remember correctly, Everton was interested in Lenglet before we got him but he went to us instead.

I believe it was the same summer we sold Yerry to them as well.

Everton to the rescue once again? Might have to build them a statue or something if they keep buying our bums

Too bad they aren't big enough to take Griezmann as well

I'd sell without even buying a replacement. I really liked him when he joined us, but those last 1,5 years with him being a starter were a true shitshow. Not really a fan of Eric Garcia, but at least he is still young and can develop. Can't rely on a guy as experienced as Lenglet but prone to so many mistakes. He is also very slim and physically weak for a CB if you consider that he isn't fast either. We need the money more than we need someone like Lenglet. Eric Garcia is cheaper and has similar strengths/weaknesses. I don't consider him a downgrade given the circumstances.

EPL clubs have money, so I wouldn't sell him under his current market value which is 25M atm. This club never was good at selling, but the board shouldn't give in if someone wants a discount. Can't afford that.
