I am watching all Barca's KO matches in Europe since 1994's defeat vs Milan.

And there is that feeling in the air that Barca is eternally underachieving.

There isn't a club or NT team (except Netherlands) who has the worst ratio in terms: how good you are versus how many big titles have you actually won.

Tonight was a deja vu of Barca's classical away games in Europe like vs Mou's Chelsea 2005, Mou's Inter in 2010, later Roma, Psg, Juventus, Liverpool.

Every single time we concede some wtf rookie goals.

Some will get angry at this post, but can you imagine Real Madrid losing in Europe in this way?
No. Never.

Real usually loses when they are worse than their opponents.

On the other hand, Barca loses both:
1) when we are worse than opponent
2) and when we are way better

Again, no team in Europe has ever managed to lose as many KO ties when they were better.

It is happening for 30 years.
It is not a coincidence.

As if Barca only knows how to beat Real Madrid.
If we played against RM in semis, we would have won 5:2.

But if we play against Inter, Roma, Chelsea, Liverpool = we won't play with 120% and we will lose in 90% of cases inspite of being way better.

Insane

You are totally wrong here.

The eliminations you mention are from seasons we were clear (if not heavy) favorites and did not manage to overcome a parked bus/
And we never made a remontanda in these cases

This season a rookie team under a new coach with so many youngsters OVERACHIEVED heavily in europe.
And with an amazing resilience, seen in the constant remontandas, when things did not go well for us
Team is building a winning mentality.
Totally opposite of what you write

Were u not around for anfield?
Tbh Anfield was straightforward. First leg somehow won, second leg just skinned alive from start to finish. Here all back and forth, seconds away from it, Lamine hits the post. Very, very heartbreaking but at least this time we showed character.

Ugh no

We had so many chances first half

And all of us thought we would make it through to the end because the away goal rule was a thing back then

Araujo was supposed to leave for Juventus in the winter, you could have gotten 50 million for him. To score a goal next to you, a 38-year-old defender, who ran the whole match and then on the 4th goal, you are humiliated by Thuram's dribbling, my God, he better leave.

Agreed, but also we are the team that basically NEVER gets lucky in the European competitions. I thought this may have been the season where we may have had a "fluke" CL Title (for a lack of a better term) like RM does year in year out with timely lucky goals.

not to mention he came on as a sub with fresh legs. He doesn't have the IQ to play for a team like Barca

Unlike earlier years I think this team got the right mindset, but they need to get rid of the retarded players and bring in some much needed depth and competition.
Very true

This time, there is at least realistic hope that things will get better

We have some of the best talents around, financial situation is getting better and we may make some signings
