It honestly feels like this team never learns from its mistakes.
Barça were up 3-2 with just 5–6 minutes left. And what do they do? Instead of managing the game, slowing things down, and killing the tempo—like Inter did—they immediately rush to put the ball back into play. Why? What’s the point? There was no urgency, no game management, no intelligence. Just blind chaos.
Araujo – The third goal is a pure facepalm moment. Just block the ball with your foot. It's that simple. Instead, he overcommits and gets caught. The fourth goal? He was partially at fault there too—poor positioning, poor awareness.
De Jong – Officially on fraud watch. In a game where leadership and creativity were desperately needed, he offered absolutely nothing. No vision, no forward drive, no through balls. When the team plays well, he blends into the background. But when things fall apart, his absence becomes glaring.
Fort – There's a reason Flick doesn’t trust him. That wild shot from a tight angle? Completely unnecessary. Poor decision-making in a key moment.
Yamal – Had multiple chances to kill off the game. Yes, he could’ve been more clinical, but it's hard to blame him when he was carrying most of the team’s creativity. At least he tried.
Fermín – Disappointing. He was invisible for most of the match. Couldn’t get involved, couldn’t impact the game.
Martín – Mixed bag. He was the main reason Barça got back into the game, and credit for that. But by the end he looked exhausted or mentally switched off. Should have done better in the final minutes.
The referee – An absolute disgrace. Inter blatantly wasted time throughout the match—constantly delaying throw-ins, goal kicks, and restarts. Yet not a single yellow card? No consequences at all? This is supposed to be elite-level officiating?
Rafa – The engine of the team. He gave absolutely everything out there. The truth is, the team let him down today. He had very few chances to make a real impact in front of goal, but the one opportunity he did get? He buried it. You can’t really ask for more from him. Total professional, total effort.
The referee completely lost control. Time-wasting went unchecked for nearly half an hour of the game. It's infuriating because fans don’t watch football to see one team could waste so much time with dirty tricks and get away with it. This kind of performance shouldn't be anywhere near a Champions League match. Honestly, he should never officiate at this level again.
A deeply frustrating performance. The first half was a disaster. The start of the second half gave some hope. But the ending? A complete collapse.
I don’t know anymore. Every time I get my hopes up, invest my time, and truly believe that this time Barça might finally turn a corner in the Champions League—they let me down again. It’s a cycle that never ends. Hope, disappointment, repeat. I want to believe things will change, but right now, it’s hard to see how. Honestly, it’s starting to feel like I should stop emotionally supporting this team altogether—for my own peace of mind.
