His body is Infront of our defenders.

Maybe they should call the offside point from the chest like athletics. Would be hilarious seeing Flick training our boys to dive away from the goal on all passes.

BINGO
You have certified IQ more than most here my man
Congrats

The last thing we need to do right now is to change the offside rule. It's fine as it is, or far from a big problem currently.

What kind of quiz answer was that?

You want a more elaborate one?

When two runners run, the point of reference to declare who is ahead is the torso, the chest point as Porque wrote.
Not the hand, not the elbow, not the toenail, nothing in the moving arms and legs.

Watch track and field, and you will see how runners on 100m, 200m, 400m, etc. they throw their chest ahead when they are about to cross the finish line.

That's what is missing from the offside law as it is applied today.
It seems absurd to many to determine positions by toenails.
But they can't articulate why. The reason is the rationale above.

It has always been like that to the human eye.
The VAR just made it evident, and is helping us recognize it

On tuesday Barca has the match of the season, they gotta give absolutely everything they have, including close to full/full rotations for the next LL game.

There are only two games left for winning CL, it's possible, let's do this!

I don’t get it. We don’t need to look at track and field. The rules for offside look at all the parts of the body one is allowed to score with.

The foot is one of them. The main one actually.

The team had played a long, intense high pressure and emotional match vs Real Madrid a few days prior to the first leg so this somewhat inconsistent performance might not have been shocking.

Inter played on Sunday, but they didn't have to go through 120 minutes vs. their biggest rivals getting kicked the shit out of them.

Think we'll see a different and more composed side in Milano that will put Inter under immense pressure being well rested.

Nor sure Barca will be any fresher than Inter.

Inter dont have to travel back from away game in early hours of Sunday then have to travel across Europe by the Tuesday.

Barca will barely get any rest time.

Inter will be in Milan since yesterday and most likely rotate heavily at weekend.
