Of course the idea is to do better than go out in groups like 2022.

What frustrates is when go out when see teams set up like that one back then.

We will see how we set up. And if defensive blunders appear. If we do mess up then Inter will probably go through because they know how to punish gifts handed to them by a poor opposition.

Normally we should be confident because we are the favorites in this. Play like it with no nerves.

If course if defensive blunders happen there is a good chance Inter go through and if due to Flicks set up it will be heavily criticised.

Also though going out to Inter in semis is not close to Xavis repeated failures.

Inter concede a lot of chances. I believe they have even conceded more goals than us so far in 2025.
They're a very good side, but not some juggernauts. What they do have though is experience and more depth than we do.

How come, Kounde and Araujo both injured during September intl break and Christensen injured in the game at San Siro. Can't remember our CB depth having any strength back in 2022-23

That formation and choice of players were horrendous and not only option.

Zero protection for that defence bar a slow Busi let alone who was picked back there.

He more or less chose the slowest DM/defence it was possible to choose.

They are overrated defensively. Likes of Lautaro are huge for them to create danger with not many options offensively. Very similar team to AM no doubt for me.

It's not good to be pessimistic now, the only big game where we underperformed was Dortmund away and even that was us just playing on 20%. Every other big game we won and performed amazingly in both attack and defence

No way you can have Barella and no DM. You have De Jong and probably Barella instead of Olmo purely on availability metrics. Also don't rate Sommer higher than Tek. Very similar keepers that can produce a top save and then suddenly make a blunder.

Lautaro as SS in most systems other than 4-3-3 and its variants.

Dumfries and Kounde is close also.

All 3 are better than de Jong, they are going Galactico XI, not for position.

Even then barella could play the role better if he was played there.

Martinez over lewa though

If you go galactico, and don't count for positions, you put Lautaro in. He's Inter's best player no doubt.
