It's not really regardless of their personnel. They still have many world class or very good players.
I didn't mean they don't have plenty of good players. I just meant whether they are as strong as they were under Zidane and Ancelotti, or comparatively weaker as now (and definitely weaker than Bayern on paper in my opinion), it doesn't matter in terms of their affinity with the tournament.

A few years ago they had Joselu scoring big goals for them, lol. What I meant is that they have good players, but even some of their lesser or fringe players seem to turn into world beaters at times in the CL.

My comment wasn't intended to be read as a dismissal of their current personnel, but was saying 'regardless of who plays for them it doesn't seem to matter, even if not at full strength'. I should have phrased it more clearly - apologies.

If Madrid goes through, I see them also beating Bayern. Not because they are better obviously, but Bayern will have the mental disadvantage.

But I also feel that city can come back.

In order to get past Bayern, as it looks atm, they would need to bring back into refereeing Viktor Kassai to make another monumental robbery for Madrid as he did back in 2017 on Santiago Bernabeu.

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
English clubs played at home against mighty Midtjylland, AEK Larnaca and Lille tonight. Together they managed to score a total of .............. 1 goal !

Fa Cup winners Crystal Palace have now played 2 games at home against the mighty AEK Larnaca. They are still waiting for their first goal.

The strength down the league of the EPL being displayed in it's full glory. :titi:

Are you all laughing at this classic English comedy ,as I am, yet?

Yes we are all enjoying

And they deserve all the mockery they get for it just as they are first to shit on other leagues when they get bad results

Ultimately the truth is these things hardly even matter. It can happen to a club to unexpectedly choke on the continent and it can line up so that multiple teams from same league choke at the same time and that's pretty much all there is to it

Like when Juve and Inter lost vs Bodo and Galata and everybody was quick to jump on them and their league. They had quality to win those ties both of them but at the end it turned that way

If Arsenal play Bayern in this season's CL Final, it could be a pivotal moment. Bayern's attacking football against Arsenal's more conservative. If Bayern win it might be for the good of the game. If Bayern win, it might convince some that this more physical style can be beaten; if Arsenal were to win, especially through corners or physicality, it might convince some to double down more on the raw physical style.
