Yeah, and top teams will realize that the new format makes the group phase more important. You can't fuck around as a big club and let likes of Lille and Brest finish above you.

Some top teams had lower ranking than normal for their level and got some tough opponents early on in knockouts.

I always say it but one sign of a top GK is that they make hard saves look easy. Big GKs find this far easier, you see it with Szczesny also, what would be goals with Pena in are routine saves that look simple with a big reliable GK.

A warning sign for GKs, especially small ones, is when they are making every save look dramatic or theatrical.

That superior reach makes it easier.

Most top GKs in history have been 1.90m or taller. 1.88m should be the minimum, basically Oblak's height.

Unless you're exceptional. Always room for an exception.
