All I know is they're now claiming Bale is one of the greatest players of all time, despite him missing a million chances this game...... and being awful for the most of it.

Bale is nothing special. He lacks the truly tight control when double or triple marked to be considered a great. Being compared to or even considered superior to Messi....Laughable.

Let me assure you most people here in England were also rooting for Atletico unless they were Tottenham fans with a fetish for Bale or Alonso because he deserted Liverpool.

If they consider Bale great they are idiots. In that case Marco Reus is also a footballing legend. Similar type of player. One billion pounds to buy a cup funded by the state.

Calma, calma
lol Atletico got owned. Zero chances created besides that Godin goal.

Sucks about Costa, and Atleti fought really hard but Madrid were just the much better team, created a lot more than Atletico.

Fully deserved.

Who the hell said he was better than Messi? :banghead: no need to fabricate stuff.

I've heard Chippendales want to sign Ronaldo.

He wouldn't want to share the stage with them Serghei. He would need it all for himself. Horrible player, horrible person. Hope he falls flat on his arse this summer. Those great Danish fans shouting Messi. Messi at the last Euros......

Atlético ran out of energy and their ball retention was non existent in the second half because of that. Real Madrid have more quality so they're not over-reliant on energy to the same degree that Atlético is.
And to be fair, Real were always likely to score towards the end. Atlético just couldn't get up the pitch and were mostly defending with their entire team inside their own box. Which is fine against teams like Barca that don't attack the box as aggressively but it's basically just percentage-play against teams like Real.

It was a poor final with crap football and the team with the most quality won. Deservedly so.

Errrr.....on the radio over the last hour. Talkcrap and 5Live. And when he was with Tottenham in his last season. He is on a level with Messi and all this other rubbish. It's not fabricated. It's typical low grade tabloid journalism that bedevils the English footballing press. Much like they were calling St.Harry Redknapp a great manager.

They do have a far smaller squad.......that don't have the luxury of spending one hundred millions pounds each year. Three players were barely able to move. Koke, Villa and Juanfran. That and the mental blow of conceding so late to that shower.
