Barça and the BCN City Council are nearing an agreement for the partial reopening of the Spotify Camp Nou with about 27,000 capacity in Phase 1a. [

Ok. So we asume the 60k will be hit until CL knockouts I hope. Then we have until summer 2027 to finish off the entire thing except the roof, and this leaves us with early 2028 as fully finished with roof. Less than 5 years for the entire project. Not bad at all.
Roof, due to its immense circumference, will require a full 6 months to install. So June 2027 until January or February 2028.
There's no way we are ready to put the roof in 10 months as they initially hoped.
The plan is to be finished with everything by autumn/fall 2026 apart from the roof. So let's say 14 months from now.
Would that be possible? If yes then the roof won't drag on until 2028.
Its not that the City Council changed its mind, its more like we used "levers" to get a solution. This is very good news if true, if the City Council really changed their minds and will allow partial opening we are much closer to returning than I thought.
The club plan to start installing it in the summer of 2026, so starting the 2026/2027 season in Montjuïc is not ruled out.

They will choose to install it in the preseson anyway. Use those 3 months of no football. So it's either june 2026, or june 2027. 2027 sounds much more likely to me.
