Kinda nuts we can't fill the stadium now.
Filling it to 1C capacity (62k) less about inability to find interested match attendees but bureaucratic logistics of releasing tickets subsequent to City Council finally providing the green light only 5 days ago

Anyone who doubted that simply isn’t looking to understand rather than seek the cynical card, time & time again

In addition, there are always season-ticket holders that are not going for various reasons and they either don't care to sell their spot, or demand a too high price so it doesn't sell.

Just a good example of a nothing story again to pick up and complain.

You can always find something to complain about, doesn't equate to an issue

6000 empty seats after all this wait, expectation and a pomp? On a sunny Sunday afternoon.

There were more fans on Betis - Celta the same day.

Yeah, some socis don't go/fail to resell but pretending it's all great is typical nonsense from Laporta fanboys.

Don Juan Laporta Estruch

Basta yaaaaaaa, Cabron ! y Bona nit 🥂
Game was only offered to members and was sold out very quickly. Even Espanyol fanboy Balague admitted as much.

It's pretty impressive when you can sell out 62K tickets when you are only offering them to members of your club. For example, if Premier League clubs restricted tickets to locals, I'm not sure many of them would be able to fill a 62K stadium.

Given that empty seating was in bunches, mainly top tier of Gol Nord, next to away section, there must have been an error on the clubs part.

Empty space in Gol Sud because they couldn't get 1,200 people in the singing section is a bad look though and needs fixing. Bar that, every available ticket was sold.

Here is a lazy chatgpt answer:

The reason there were empty seats even though the capacity had just been increased to about 62,000 at Spotify Camp Nou is mostly timing and logistics, not a lack of demand.

Here are the main reasons:

1. The capacity increase was approved only days before the match

  • The city of Barcelona granted the Phase 1C licence only shortly before the game.
  • This allowed the opening of the North Stand (Gol Nord) and VIP areas, increasing capacity from ~45,000 to about 62,652.

Because approval came late, the club did not have enough time to sell and distribute all the additional seats.

2. Season tickets for the new sections were not fully issued yet

  • Around 17,000 new seats became available suddenly with the licence.
  • The club still had to allocate them to members, season-ticket holders, and general sale.

That process takes time, so many seats in the newly opened stand simply weren’t assigned yet.

In short:
The empty seats weren’t because fans didn’t want to go — it’s because the capacity increase was approved too late for all tickets to be sold and allocated, and some new sections are still being phased into operation.

Valid points but there are like 2 million people in around Barcelona. Tickets should be off in couple of hours.

Not a good look either way to have empty seats and inferior to Betis.

But let's see about remaining games.
I think they took many things for granted, as per usual, and will have troubles filling it.

If it wasn't for the returning fan group it would have been a fiasco.

Anyone applying just a smidge of logic could conclude there is more demand than available seats, clearly the empty seats were down to logistical challenges from timing of 1C license approval by City Council when the entirety of those seats were in the newly approved Gol Nord

I mean, you have to manufacture a conspiracy to look beyond the rational/plausible explanation...or you can gloom & doom, rinse & repeat

Did they really remove the first row of seats closest to the pitch to make space for that double sized advertisement board? Looks outrageous that thing.

It's like arguing with a child. Naturally there is more interest than the seats.
It's up to the club to erase the obstacles. Cheaper tickets maybe, or special discounts for fan groups, force socies that do not attend to release their tickets. Plenty of options to look into.

You tend to believe people that have repeatedly lied on the very topic of the stadium. Nevermind on whole other issues concerning the club.

And plenty of conspiracies you believe as well. Them cursed firemen blocking Laporta or Messi with his approval of the fat man.

Utter gibberish.
