We don't have the money to sign any player with a 100m price tag, not now, not last season.

Just the simple cash component is too much, that's 2 players for us.

Maybe in 2 years we'll be back there.

tbf with our club, he joined Lyon in January 2020, few weeks later it was a lockdown and our financial downfall started.

Moved to Newcastle in January 2022, before levers and when budget was tight. So, we were never in a position to get him anyway.

Could bring the same old "we bought Ferran for zillions instead" and while Torres is awful, our attack in that season was trash and it was understandable that our first big signing will be an attacker, not a midfielder.

Aouar and Ndombele were also great players at Lyon once tho.

Let's hope we won't miss on the next Athletico Paranaense prodigy then
