I've seen reported 10m.

But then there are also reports Villarreal wants to loan him (Betis reportedly already negotiating) to increase his value. Which doesn't make sense if his clause is really that low unless he'll renew before going on loan.

Meanwhile they have bought a Canadian lad from the MLS (he's versatile and can play on the wings too and we know Marcelino loves these sort of players) and are now looking to get a proven La Liga striker like Sorloth (rumours he wants to leave Atleti) or Dovbyk (not in Gasperini's plans at Roma).

Some people are saying that Pau Cabanes is the one that Villarreal really rates and wants to keep longterm though might send him on loan too if/when they get their new striker(s).

As I was skeptical before the Marcato started. And it did turn out how I was dreading. Not to that extent but close.

A backup LB was needed, and we didn't get one. Jofre is a major uncertainty, even if I liked what I saw, we can't guarantee how he will fare. And we will be back to the same problem as last season. Playing Balde till he gets injured during the crucial time of the season, where we eventually lose because of the lack of quality at the LB spot.

Rashford is fine. He might be a good addition. And a definite rotation for Raphinha.

If the Roony rumours are true, then we are truly fucked. There will be no backup for Yamal. It means either Yamal or Raph will be playing all games without rest. No player to take around 1000 minutes at least from Yamal.

CB. We are currently fucked here. With Inigo gone, a reliable leader and conductor from the back is gone. A pillar, with no replacement. Only hope is Christensen overcoming his injuries, if not we are truly fucked.

Garcia is the best signing. But that hardly says anything. He should have been the cherry on top rather than the marquee one.

All in all, a 5/10 mercato. We only solved our LW backup issue and nothing else, on top we are now worse at the CB position.

The situation with Tek, Roony and Martin is a bit easier than the rest.

Martin is already registered as B team player, he just can't play more than 10 game, Tek is Free Agent, so he can be registered any time, Roony can be registered as B team player, at least until we give him minutes, I doubt the BS about La Liga forbidden it is true, and even if true, it can be delayed in September.

So, while it will be pain in the ass for Flick, the club really doesn't risk losing those players for free, like we had with Olmo and other players before.

The club will likely register Tek first, once Pena leaves, then gives it a try for the rest. Personal guarantees might be used with the ideal that we will return to Camp Nou and VIP will be validated

Been better opportunities in LaLigs of recent though. Samu for 6m a couple years back, Konate for 6m this summer for example.

I think we are interested but don't have the capacity. The news is all coming from Villarreal sources.

Maybe we could sort out FFP and loan Roony there in exchange. EE is probably more functional to us this season, though I don't think he has any big club future.
