Many people are worried right now that Ter Stegen still won’t leave the team.
Relax, he will leave.
His lifelong dream is to be number 1 in the national team at a major tournament.
If he doesn’t leave, he’ll just sit on the bench. And we’ll find the money to register García.
The squad is practically complete — of course, I wouldn’t mind a new center-back, but we have what we have.
The goalkeeper line is fully covered.
Martin on the left suits me as a backup. Yes, he’s not fast enough for the left-back spot, but he knows how to distribute the ball between the lines.
Some people advocate for Grimaldo, but I don’t understand how you can keep two players like Grimaldo and Balde who compete for the same spot in the lineup. That only happens in FIFA, and rarely in real life, because it inevitably causes locker room problems.
PSG has tons of money, but who do they have as backups for Hakimi and Mendes? I’m sure you wouldn’t even name those players.
Plus, there seems to be a candidate for the left-back position coming from the academy as well.
On the right — Koundé and García. Two defensive-minded options — exactly what Yamalya needs to maintain balance.
The midfield is stocked.
The attacking line — ideally, we’d get rid of Lewandowski and take, say, Alvarez, but Robert isn’t going anywhere. Also, Ferran has shown he can play at a top level in that position.
If you check the stats from last season — he’s in the top 3 among world-class forwards for goal contributions (excluding penalties) per 90 minutes. Same for his finishing.
Plus, he scored and assisted in really important matches. And I won’t even mention the contribution he makes without the ball.
The only position, in my opinion, that needed strengthening was the left winger. We needed a right-footed player who could provide a high volume of dribbling.
It didn’t work out with Nico — he wasn’t, in my opinion, the ideal option, but he was the best available on the market.
Paying 70+ million for a 29-year-old Diaz is absurd. Liverpool keeps fooling everyone again — they’ll dump an almost-old player for 100 million and bring in young Rodrygo, who is insanely good on the left flank.
Rashford — I’ve talked about him many times already. Plus, Rashford hasn’t really been a dribbler for a long time.
Leao — another lazy guy.
We just need to wait for an optimal option to appear on the market. If it’s dry again, we’ll have to hope Virgil or Cardoso step up.
