If he wants to celebrate a few cups, he can join. He would be even good enough to let him start in the Copa for sure. Depends what he really wants. With already being 30 years old, he needs to make a strategic decision. I would be glad to have a keeper with his skills as a back-up, don't get me wrong, if it doesn't cost us too much ffp for urgent starter positions, because Tek should really retire this summer.
Yes it's a luxury signing for us. He could easily play Copa and semifinal of Supercopa. We had Cillessen and Neto before who went from starters to backups. Not a top priority though.

Perhaps easy rumours after us playing Sociedad. Didn't hear his name mentioned before as a potential transfer.

Alvarez rumors are just bs. We don't have the money, length of his contract and Laporta will not be desperate to promise anything anyway.

Now read that Barca are 14 mil. away from 1:1.

Seems every journalist is making their own wishlists.

FC Barcelona's 'bets' for the summer transfer window. [@RogerTorello]
- Julián Álvarez
- Josko Gvardiol, Alessandro Bastoni or Nico Schlotterbeck
- Marcus Rashford.

Truth
I like the link to Bernardo Silva eventhough he will be 32, David Silva was influential until he was 34 at City (Less so at La Real for last few seasons) and of course Modric at 40 still a factor

I thought the ship sailed for him but as a free, he would bring something significant to rotate even with Pedri. Hope it is true, a player I have long admired

It would just be a waste of salary; midfielders are the last thing we need.

A has been old player on huge wages looking for a famous Barca retirement on the sea contract and he even plays on a position where we are well covered, it would be ridiculous. Hope Deco isn't that stupid but you never know with this board. Imagine spending our limited funds on him and Rashford but no CB or striker.

Laporta moving the elections to March suggests there will be no budget for a big summer signing.

It's time we move past the Gundagun, Sergio Aguero past it buys of yesteryear when we were looking to make the club more competitive.

If's time to get frees who are in or arriving to their peak. If any.

But it's perfect timing to promise a big summer signing that never happen.

I agree otherwise, we don't need these 30+ free agents who only look for a huge contract and comfortable life in Barcelona. And even if we wanted someone like that it should never be a midfielder.

Bernardo Silva currently is a player that puts in a lot of effort with very little of the impact he used to have.

Signing him on 2-3 year contract with a high salary could end up giving you a player who in less than a year might not have the legs to put in the effort and also has little impact on the game and play.

From where I stand I struggle to see how signing someone like him would make much sense.

He's washed. City fans know it but Pep has his favourites.
