Club doctors wanted to see x-rays and make their own assessment that injury problems over.

Ronny and Cardoso are two low cost high reward punts. Can't fault the club for them.

At worst, they do decent and we make a nice little sale off of them, ala Faye.

We are at a level. Especially as Spanish clubs need FFP allocations.

We're failing to make the big moves because we operate a small squad and don't want to sell the top players. While the lesser ones are priced out the market thanks to super high contracts ala Longlay, Inaki Pena and Ansu. So that's an issue.

But we are doing good with the B moves and the lower level sales with sell on clauses. Todibo, Trincao, Nico Gonzalez, abde, etc are giving us a financial lifeline.

Although Barça believes they have the position well covered with Koundé, Eric Gracia, and Héctor Fort, who will remain with the team next season, the club doesn't want to miss out on the option of Marc Pubill, whom they consider a player with great potential. Therefore, according to 'Estadio Deportivo', Barcelona and Betis are in talks to sign the right-back on a co-ownership basis.

Who do you think is better? Fresneda or Pubill.

50 % 50 %. I do remember the Etoo to barca saga in summer of 2004. Mallorca and vardrid owned etoo 50 50%. Mallorca agreed to barca's offer but vardrid didn't want to sell to barca so they kept rejecting until barca put on pressure via media .. ansd the rest is history.

Interesting question. Would say Pubill is a more well rounded/developed player (but that's to be expected as he's two years older) despite playing at a lower level. Better defensively while Fresneda is probably bit better attacking wise. Had some good games for Sporting when they've played 4 man defense in middle part of the season but then fall out of favor when Borges returned back to the Amorim's system. So really hard to judge his season. Hopefully he'll get more minutes next year. Wouldn't be surprised if he'd leave Sporting either, there were already rumours about that in January when Sporting tried to buy RB from Borges's former team (Alberto Costa) that later went to Juve.
