Barca Transfers and Rumors

City won't be interested in anybody that we don't want to lose.

Araujo (maybe), Nico, Gavi, Pedri, Ansu (maybe, because of injuries)

These are the only players that would interest Pep.

For guys like Araujo and Dest, City can easily scout and find their own solution in the market.

Anyways for me these Ferran rumours are nothing more than smoke. Like Olmo before which has died down. Something to give hope and mask the reality that we can't afford any solutions.

But if we managed to get someone like Abde who has made an impact on an individual level, with just 6 months of previous experience at Hercules, or given that Pedri, Nico, Gavi have adapted quickly to pro football at such a young age, then we should really be scowering for lower league talents and try to unearth them in the first team quicker than anticipated.

Use the fact that Barcelona B exists outside of the LaLiga pyramid (LaLiga+LaLiga2) to manoeuvre around the financial restrictions.

Depay and Martial were crap in ManU when they were even weaker then they are now.
Just stop going after players that have failed in other clubs, please.

I've not watched Martial for years, is he really that bad? Getting him on a 6-month loan probably wouldn't be the end of the world.

Even less motivation than Dembele. Dude is just chilling.
But yeah, better than having a 17 year old midfielder out of position.

As Barcelona vice-president Rafael Yuste has confirmed, with absolutely no discretion: “Ferran is a great player and we are working with discretion.” (Does that mean telling the press?)

The Times say a meeting between representatives from the club took place last Friday, during which Barcelona floated the usual idea of flogging Philippe Coutinho off in a part-exchange deal.

Manchester City, however, want cash. ‘In excess of double the fee they paid Valencia,’ to be exact. Good luck to Barcelona in stumping up the necessary ?40m in that case.

Maybe he needs a change of scenery and a good coach to motivate him (not saying Xavi is a good coach yet but it's pretty evident OGS isn't).

He had 17G+7A in EPL two years ago so clearly can produce if fit to play and motivated.

He would surely be more available in January than Ferran and probably most other options as well.

OTOH we need someone who can step in and perform immediately so it's questionable if we should really sign a guy who hasn't played much for two years

Depay and Martial, two players who flopped at Man Utd 5-6 years ago will be a core of our attack.
And Xavi blocking the signing of a physical midfielder.

Decade of dominance is certain.

He is not. He is def better than dembele and depay. And thats all the attack we have, so yeah he would be our best by default.

Winter signings usually need to be in the form of their life to make an impact, or returning to a league that they previously excelled in. Very difficult to make work.

Amine Gouiri continues to have a Nice season.

We haven't been linked (Man City have) but maybe we should be with Haaland, Mbappe out of budget and Adeyemi being in the same price range and possibly not choosing us.

Nice 2nd goal here, learned that technique through watching Riqui Puig's TikTok.
