This election makes me think, when was the last time the incumbent president entered election and lost? I know Bartou and Laporta both entered and won, Nunez before them too stood for too long.

I looked into some of former presidents and it doesn't seem it happened in the last 60 year at least. If you survive your term, socios will take you back.

Xavi is not some "ex". And I assure you he will remain very much relevant as Barca legend long after Laporta is gone and forgotten.

I think its important to remember that that whoever is the president, they will always appear fake and untrustworthy. Sadly thats just how optics and politics work. In Laportas case, the trend is positive on all fronts. And thats what matters. Dunno about you guys, i just want to see the best football in Europe.
