This whole Keeping Up With The Catalans charade only goes to expose just how much self destruction is an inherent part of Catalan culture.
For this to be going on in the background at the business end of the season is absurd. Nobody wins from this. But the club is losing out big time as everyone around it continues to burn bridges, whilst giving plenty of ammunition to those that hate the club to humiliate and mock it.
I find the whole thing odious. And people are showing, that despite how cule they claim to be, it is self interest and not club interest that ultimately comes first.

Instead of convincing with a sport project, like a normal candidate would, he focuses his entire campaign on attacking Laporta. And because that's not enough, he begs ex-players to join his crusade. Xavi was dumb enough to take his bait, Messi won't.

The fact that he has almost a third of the vote is a huge huge worry. How anyone can think he is comparable to anybody as a president, let alone the most successful Barca president in history, is just crazy to me.
These socis are hell bent on self destruction. This should be a 90 percent Laporta landslide.
This is why I try not to complain and enjoy times like this when we are winning trophies. The odds are very very high it will not continue and you can see why, with these internal politics, it took such a huge club nearly 100 years to win it's first European Cup.

This donkey should stop using Messi's name in his campaign without his approval.
He's not winning even with Messi's endorsement anyway. We don't need to go back to playing with veteran legend for the nostalgia.
