My bad, my math isn't mathing, I'm tired lol - It's about half of what I wrote, silly me

Sport leaked his salary after he left.. probably leaked by club to show what saved after relatively low transfer fee.

17m a season basic going up a million each season.

With bonuses they said he earned 46m across the two seasons.

Less of a basic salary then given to Lewa and Gundo and not massively more than likes of Fati or MATS on.

Font switched to good cop again, because he prepares already for the next election. He won't give up sadly. But for now we have 5 years of Laporta again.
We'll see about the next elections. Font might realise he's not the main man and decide to back someone else.

As for Laporta's side, he's a lot like Trump in a way that he won't let anyone publicly outshine him. Doubt they put forward a strong candidate.

Wouldn't call it humiliating. Font had a terrible campaign but even if he didn't, running against Laporta was never going to be an easy task.

In spite of his lacklustre presentation, he managed to raise some valid concerns and bring them to socis' attention.
This is the end result of socios election - Flickball and rebuilt Camp Nou > corrupt Laporta and Messi & Xavi never to be seen again in Barcelona, until 2031, the least.

Loved the way he acted during the voting process. Wearing his heart on his sleeve he couldn't hide his love for the club. The chants, the joy, the excitement.

His critics want him to act all prim and proper like a boring old fart with zero charisma. That is not Laporta at all. And that is why everyone loves the bones off the guy.

No doubt had he acted like a boring old fart they would have criticised him anyway, as the sticks they beat him with have been nothing burgers for the past 4 years.

He doesn't speak out against Real Madrid corruption they moan. If he does, they moan also and tell him to be self critical. He says we don't need a striker next season, they moan he lied about finances. He says we do need a striker next season, they moan he has made our potential striker signings more expensive and dented the confidence of Lewa and Ferran.

His mob of detractors can NEVER be pleased.

We can now add 'He chants' to 'He lies' as his most satanic of sins.

4 more years before this club self destructs again. :barcaflag:

Congrats to Laporta, this election was pretty much useless we all knew there is no chance in hell Font is winning this

His 3rd term has been successful. If you compare state of the club in 2021 and now, it is a crazy difference. And every year, we have improved compared to the previous one. That is most important. In his 4th term we have to break the ice and win the CL title and make a complete, balanced and dominant team

5 more years of

lies
gaslighting
brainwashing fans
incompetence
big decisions taken on hunch/whims
big empty promises
serving super-agent buddies
giving Bartomeuesque wages

5 years too much

Chill, we should never go back to paying players like Greasman 720k/week, Umtiti 615k/week or that bum Lenglet 410k/week - Lewa is currently our highest paid with 400k/week. We should of course spend, but with some fucking sense this time around.

Well yes that is common sense. Read my post again.

I'm talking about the salary cap and what our limit is and not our actual expenses. We've been around 400m last few years at best while we used to be at 600m+.

Real Madrid's is at 700m.

Higher salary cap = no issues registering any player you want = no need for short term fixes like palancas

Xavi probably. Messi I'm not so sure. He loves Barca with all his heart and I think he'll reconcile with Laporta to get his farewell game and statue. I think Messi's silence in this is also to leave a door open.

No. Not while Laporta is the boss. Iniesta and Busi are the only figures appearing in Barca clips.

Right up there with the day we won our first European Cup in 1992.

The club had been saved from itself for another 5 years. The way I feel is like when you are in a real bad way, health wise, and you are convinced something is badly wrong with you and you are shitting yourself as you enter the Doctor's office. And the doctor tells you your x-rays and blood test are ALL CLEAR and you are as fit as a fiddle. :guitar: That's the way I feel right now. The apocalypse of FC Barcelona has been put on hold for another 5 years !

I've opened a vintage red and poured a glass. As should every Cule. Even if you are fasting get a non alcoholic vintage red, or just a Fanta or Sprite :lamine:

Bona fucking nit 🥂
