It's because our core has aged. The movement off the ball isn't anywhere close to what it was during Xavi, Iniesta days. Even Busquets this season has looked a little bit leggy. It's a different era.

That's the secondary reason. The main reason is that Guardiola is not here anymore, and Valverde is quite different in terms of tactics. If Ernie would've managed us in 2009 we would had played completely different than during Pep.

Total football rules are an enigma to Valverde (who is a way more rigid and pragmatic manager, closer to the italian school of football), whereas they are the foundation of Guardiola's principles and vision about the game.

A Guardiola team will always create more chances, move off the ball better and more cohesively, and play more creatively than a Valverde team. This goes way beyond the personnel they have at their disposal.

Only we could have multiple games were we score 5 plus goals abd ppl still call EV pragmatic.

Look at Altstico grinding out 1-0 wins if you want to see pragmatic.

On the other hand look at what Lucho did in his final season attacking football yes but got murdered by PSG and Juventus in away games. Plus a few laliga teams too.

Ev did much better than Lucho with an aging iniesta and no neymar. Many predicted we would go trophyless but we won the treble...

It's true but we were extremely lucky with Valverde last season, with Enrique we always had to dominate the games to win one and even then we sometimes lost. Valverde somehow keeps winning unimpressive way..

Valverde tactics depend too much of Messi doing magic. That's the problem. The team is not playing well, and suddenly Messi goes there and bam. 3 goals in the last 10 minutes of the match.

If there's no comment here it means he had an ordinary okay game.

Every game he plays is from ok up to superb. That's the great thing about him.

it means absolutely nothing, but some people like this kind of stats.

with Arthur on the field: Barça 3-0

when Arthur left, Barça 1-1

Couldnt watch the game tonight, curious about how Arthur did, any comments?

Today he played as DM, CM AM and backup defender.
Busquetes and especially Rakitic was really bad (Rakitic had 65% passing...)
So Arthur had to do pretty much everything, or atleast try. It cant go on like that.
YET! once again, Valverde fuckface once again subbed out Arthur, the only midfielder that did anything and kept on Rakibitch
