I see Lenglet as a Pique-type, with his heads in the clouds, but also with a massive advantage over him which is basically age.

It's not his head it's his body. He's disgustingly slow and just clumsy. If he played for a team thst sits back doesn't dominate possession he would be better. He cannot be a cb in a high line dynamic team he just can't defend open space and 1v1 at all.

Sure, this is a weakness, but IMO if he would be more serious and focused, he'd be good for us at least as a 3rd CB. The deal-breaker is the dumb stuff he does because his head is not screwed up properly.

Pique has no incentive of recovering, he's had his days and now is just a buffoon. Lenglet could still have motivation left. Umtiti is another case, he is purely finished from an athletic point of view. And between Lenglet and Pique, due to the horror of seeing Koeman start both in the first 11, Pique should be sacrificed. For the good of the team. Also, Pique is no leader. He's just masquerading as one in social media and talk shows.

As it stands, I'd play Lenglet and Araujo. With Mingueza pretty close to Araujo. Garcia is an unknown factor for me.

Mingueza is not even close to Araujo as a defender for me and unless play three at back he will barely play would be my guess.

Pique as much as want him to go will still be there unfortunately.

His dumb stuff this season i can excuse due to poor form or whatever it doesn't even matter. His speed is just disgusting and alone should be a reason for him to never play again. Literally any attacker out runs him and any faint leaves him in the dust. He can't defend 1v1 whatsoever so even if he stops his stupid mistakes hes still nowhere near good enough.

Yes, but then we go in the realistic side of things. I'd change half the team or more personally in an ideal situation, but the thing is that players who are salvageable AND/OR can't command a premium fee should be kept.

You simply can't change all players who have issues, because you'd be left with 3-4 players in the whole squad.

He probably got worse as season wore on really and teams started to target him and that was in three at back formation where his weaknesses are covered.

Better on ball than Araujo but massive difference in them defensively.

We already have 5 CBs (Umtiti excluded although it's quite possible he'll stay in the end as well), I doubt we'll sign another one.

I'd prefer to cash on Dembele (with his contract expiring) and keep Griezmann around for another season then sell him next year if we can get Haaland.

I am fine with selling Dembele too.

New CB and starter, Araujo, Eric Garcia, Mingueza should be the four CBs. Pique need to move on. His knee is fucked up anyway.

Sell Lenglet if you get a good offer too.

So lenglet should be one of the first to go i mean he's the one who someone who's actually worth something. Isn't old and dusted like the deadweight like pique pjanic roberto. Anyone else who should be sold isn't rly worth much. Either they're too old or young

Let's see the offers then. I'd sell for 25m 5 mins after the formal offer arrives. Hell, make it 20 + 5 reasonably obtainable variables. Don't know how high his wage is. But if his wage isn't all that... then it should be a pretty good offer for us to sell.
