Ansu Fati (loaned to Monaco)

Happy he found a team but Monaco is a bit too higher caliber for now I think for him to start regularly, but I truly hope he proves me wrong. All the best Ansu!!

We won't find a club willing to pay any significant part of his salary where he will be sure starter.
Hopefully he isn't renewing/deferring his salary and if it doesn't work out in Monaco, we can work a buyout next summer so that he can be free of that salary and former hype, so he can go somewhere to find joy in playing football again

Just be happy his future is sorted early.

Cant hope for more than this type of deal bar a Saudi move, which he will only take when the Barca money dries out end of contract.

Why should we be happy with that? I'd be happy to let him wait until the last day of the transfer window when he'd have to decide between anther year on the stands or to accept to leave the club for free. What is good for Barca in this Monaco loan? Best case scenario they pay a couple of percent of his salary but probably very low, big fucking deal.

The only positive from this deal is that the 10 gets on the back of a player that deserves it.

Monaco is surely paying a significant part of his salary, we didn't accept that deal while paying his entire salary.

Also important reminder that players don't get paid only at the end of the year, they are paid monthly and based on how long they stay. He waits until last day of the wondow and he is already paid 2 months of the contract, and whatever percentage we pay will be for the rest of the 10 months.

And Fati won't take a paycut either way. He was given the contract offered by the club and was injured (and treated) while playing for us. There is zero reason from him to give up on his salary even if he doesn't play a second.

The only thing we will get from bullying him is pissing the rest of the squad and his agent.

Monaco deal is absolutely good for everyone involved

Can you imagine signing a contract, getting injured through not fault of your own, the recover process is mishandled by your job.

And fans are like you're a leech 😂 😂 and you should some how give up your money or not think about your money 😂.

To anyone that thinks that, I have some oil to sell you that cures all illnesse

People said the same retarded shit with Umtiti and in that case I could understand fans being angry because he choose the WC over a long career, going against the clubs advise.

And even the fans were dumb as fuck saying we should do things like cancel his contract and sort it nonsense.

The same people who are talking shit if they get over charged by $10, will point it out at a restaurant.

But yea let's give up millions.

Fati case is the complete opposite btw

This could change things completly, I would happily take my words back if it's a permanent transfer.

This would be surprising.

Everything I read suggested it being a loan. This might be them negotiating the buy-clause though.

Ansu's issue isn't his technique or ability anyway. He's a player who tore his ACL as a youth player and then had multiple meniscus injuries and surgeries.

Physically it's tough if not impossible to overcome that while you're still growing and developing.

Dont blame him one bit. And glad that the physical crowd thinks the same.

I am surprised we are receiving any kind of fee like that considering his wages.

I wonder how much percentage we are paying in this case, or if Fati agreed to drop his current wage significantly (many thanks to him, in that case).

But I don't believe that is true. I think we will be paying some part of his wage if that happens.

We'll see about his salary, but he won't pay any income taxes while living in and playing for Monaco.
Only French citizens need to pay income taxes there. So he'll have that to his advantage.

We need to have open squad positions and FFP before we submit any potential transfers to LaLiga for approval. Having exits agreed early in the window as well as renewals is a huge step forward compared to the previous seasons- even if LaLiga are relaxing the rules.

Now I am going to throw a spanner into things. Sorting Ansu out so early with a potential transfer fee may point to one direction only- Mendes who doesn't do anything for goodwill.

Could Luis Diaz and Rashford talks be a smokescreen for Rafa Leao?
