Ansu Fati (loaned to Brighton)

Surgery or not, I feel his career at top level is in serious danger. Some phycological scars will remain even if his knees recover. I wouldn't put too much faith in him being a big asset.

He's done if he's mentally weak. If not theres still hope.

He didn't look like having phycological scars when he came from injury last time so i don"t think he will have them if he plays next time. Even if he has them, it will disappear day for day.

The first one I was afraid was Dembele because he's all about speed and thought that after all his injuries, he'd not be able to use his speed the same way.
But he still reached high llevel speed without looking to worried about being injured, so It should be the same for Fati.

Injury isn't the end of the world but only if it finally stops. Also shouldn't plan with him as starter anymore, need at least 3 capable attackers + Fati for next season. If he then comes back strong and stays healthy amazing, otherwise it sucks for him but at least we're not back to playing random bums.

As I said months ago, it's either a R9 move or Umtiti move

Right now he is taking the second road.

This surgery is scary for every player, you're never the same after it, he may have to completely change his playstyle after it ... and it take a lot of guts.

After been under the knife 3 times he is going the safe option (aka the Umtiti way) is to wait and hope for a miracle, milking the stupid contract as long as possible and saying good by to any hope for a decent career.

Now FCB has to identify exactly why all of this replaces are happening, with 20 years old Messi it was clear : exhaustion as he was obsessed since la Massia to play every minute and his carnivorous diet; he fixed the second one and the rest was history.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but muscle injuries should theoretically heal 'easier' on their own compared to ligament injuries.

Fati was examined by two experts in March, and one of those was Dr. Jose Carlos Noronha, one of the best knee specialists in the world. He was astounded by what had been done and will operate on the player, he is Cristiano Ronaldo's most trusted doctor.

We need to switch doctors to him. Mendes was right to take Fati away from Barca.

Like wtf was Barca doing to Fati

Medical update on Ansu Fati
The player underwent a experimental regenerative biological treatment by Dr. Ramon Cugat under the supervision of the club's medical services.
