Yeah me neither. The reason for me is because Busquets, in my opinion, is the best CDM in the world and to see him in that CB position is truly a waste of talent.

He didn't have a bad game. If anyone disagrees with me, then I want to know why. He was much better than Busquets - he tackled well, had more pace, was looking confident and the only negative thing I noticed was his positional sense. But that's because he lacks experience.

@ the folks now concluding that he isn't Barca material and doesn't have what it takes
That forward whose name i cannot spell gave him a torrid time mate. Maybe Fontas needs to be guided by an experienced Centre-Half but he looked exposed and brittle at times today

Talk about knee-jerk reaction...
at the folks who easily laugh off people's opinions when they don't have one themselves. I said this even last season whenever he played for us. He just isn't Barca material, sometime a player has quality (i.e. Adriano) but silly little things that can be learnt over time are keeping him from becoming world class, but that's not the case with Fontas. I know you may laugh at this but you can tell after a couple of performances if a player has it or not and IMO Fontas can not be trutsted at CB for a team like Barca, and I don't expect him to become faster, positionally aware and be gifted with immense technique over night, these are things that players either have or don't have not necessarily things that can be learnt (except positioning).chygrynski was never given a proper chance. he was used sparingly his first season and then sold in a bone headed move where we lost 10M on the entirety of the deal. we could definitely use him this year with the lack of cb depthI also thought he could be the "replacement" of Chiggy, but as much as I liked the guy, he wasn't very useful, was he? We could expect better from Fontas as he shouldn't need much time to adapt but to me his future might not be here, let's hope he proves me wrong...
