Lucho's tactics hold him back. It kind of happens when the midfield is technically speaking a non factor in most games by virtue of the system we use.
Our goals against Madrid came from a set piece and a long ball. That sums up pretty nicely what's different about the club right now.

Yeah, he is easily the best Spanish NT player, after all he won the world cup for them. Whenever i see spain (especially in 2010 and euro 2012) i feel like the team is run by iniesta. Pedro and Iniesta are the players who played better at national team than barca.

Iniesta being wasted at Barça this year. Unfortunately, just no good place in Lucho's system for him...might as well bring in another Rakitic/Koke type midfield soldier.

Iniesta has to play deeper and do different things. Less possibilities for him to shine in the final third and show his biggest strengths but that does not mean that he is "wasted".
He plays an important role in a team that is winning and competing for 3 trophies.
And you could not replace him with a Rakitic type player. Iniesta's qualities are needed.

Thats just extremely weird, even for a player like Iniesta, who is not a stat machine but more rely more on general build up.
