Lad deserves his own thread. Been great for us. 🇦🇷

His best Liverpool performance was last night. His use of the ball in the first half in particular was almost our only real bright spark. Good work off the ball too. His ball winning and tackling has improved so much under Klopp.
Only £35m as well you know. We got a way better deal with him than Chelsea with Caciedo. Macca seems to be a more versatile player and has started so well here.

We are lucky to have him and he's lucky to have a coach like Klopp. Klopp has turned him into a well rounded CM who can do everything. Not a flashy player but very reliable.

Our fans already love this World Cup winning baller!

He was a World Cup winner with a starring role in many high leverage games, including world cup final, before he joined you bums.

 Klopp didn't turn him into anything he already wasn't

Didn't watch him regularly at Brighton but his all round game has improved and he's playing with better teammates. He wasn't as strong defensively.

Wasn't Klopp playing him more or less as a DM early on? No shit he wasn't as strong defensively for a DM then as he was more of an attacking CM for Brighton and Argentina.

He went for 35 mil. Nobody considered him world class before his move. That price tag tells you everything.

His fellow Brighton mid Caicedo costed............

Paredes won a WC too. As did Molina. Crap argument.

How many big clubs were interested in him after the WC?

People here will do anything to downplay Klopp and Liverpool's part in his development.

Played as a 'DM' yesterday.

If Endo doesn't start, Macca always plays as a DM for us.

We're still looking for a permanent World Class DM like Fabinho.

Not many big clubs were looking for an attacking midfielder last summer. Man Utd wanted him too, but he rejected their offer.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal were looking at different profiles. I know Chelsea signed Palmer, but they wanted someone who would count as a homegrown player as well I think?

It's not the correct price tag. His release clause was 35m, market value around 60m. Brighton could have sold him for 90-120m; you'd remember last winter Chelsea bought Enzo for 120m. All because of Messi.

The 35 mil came from the Release Clause. You should know this.

Molina just moved to Atletico Madrid in Summer 2022 and Paredes was a sub for Argentina during the WC (Still great player though).

Available for 35 mil yet hardly any other big clubs were in for him, eh?

35 mil for a 90 mil mid is a total steal, innit?
