It's fecking obvious the signings and La Masia delivered big time. Flick can't do shite if he doesn't have quality players. Very simple to understand. You need many components to become top 3 in Europe.

Barcelona is the only club special enough to do it in a shite financial situation.

just because he was upset by Xavi's words, acting on impulse, while he really wanted to continue with him

ABSOLUTE CLOWN OF A PRESIDENT :clown:

Not true though.

Laporta was interested in Hansi Flick and Nagelsmann during his election candidacy after he spoke with Ralf Rangnick.

Both were unavailable back then.

Yeah bro by accident it’s not like he was targeting Flick from 2021 but couldn’t due to his Mannschaft commitments

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Birdy is doing anything to discredit Laporta and Xavi. People acting like Flick is a genie…

That summer of 2022, and that money spent.. big hit for the club. All of those top money signings became leaders of the team and bona fide starters.

2021 - https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_...placements-want-successor-place-first-sources

"ESPN reported last week that Laporta recently sounded out outgoing Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick, only to be told that he has agreed to replace Joachim Low as the Germany coach after this year's European Championship.

Laporta is a fan of the German school of managers and has been impressed by the coaching developments in the Bundesliga and the success of the likes of Flick, Julian Nagelsmann and Jurgen Klopp.

He sounded out Bayern-bound Nagelsmann during the election campaign to become Barca president earlier this year and also approached Ralf Rangnick with a view to offering him the sporting director position."

2021 - Joan Laporta's interview with La Vanguardia where he mentions his admiration for the German school of managers: https://www.lavanguardia.com/deport...ntrevista-messi-arreglo-asado-elecciones.html

There a legit things to criticize Laporta for so we should not make up stuff.

By the way Rangnick confirmed in an interview that Laporta approached him for a role as the SD in 2021 and asked him for advice and his thoughts.

So you agree that Laporta was applying moronic decisions with no financial and long-term sporting logic.

thanks
I'm already starting to suspect that you have problems with perceiving information.

I'll repeat it again - with the exception of the big salaries of Fati and Lewandowski, all of Laporta's decisions were adequate.

But you're reasoning as if more than 65-70% of the club management's decisions are idiotic. And that's an obvious lie.

Find any source you want.
Barcelona, even in the FFP restriction days, gives around 50m or more wages than Liverpool

ABSOLUTELY unacceptable.
And Fatporta did NOTHING To correct that. Kept giving ridiculous wages to new signings/renewals:
- Lewa
- Kounde
- Ansu
- Gundo

Above the market
He learned NOTHING from Barto.
Absolute CLOWN of a president :clown:

You've been crying about Kounde's salary for three years now, but his salary is adequate. The man is available 24/7 and provides excellent balance on the right flank of defense, given that Lamin Yamal, who is not famous for his play without the ball, plays on the same flank. Moreover, Kounde was wanted to be bought several years ago by at least 2 TOP clubs, and even now there is a great demand for him.

Gundogan - he came as a free agent, so part of his salary was a signing bonus.

This trend exists in all European clubs. Do I like it? No, but it exists.

Lewandowski, Fati - we've already talked about this. They weren't given market contracts.
Mistakes happen too.

Laporta is definitely a genius.

A man who knows how to take risks in the most difficult periods and take the club to another level.
