9 - Robert Lewandowski

Even if Lewa is in theory an upgrade to Auba and LDJ, they both bailed us like him and delivered. Not sure the upgrade we needed if he can't do anything about our cl displays. Perhaps we should have just sold Ferran and depay, keep them both, don't buy raphinia and spend all that money on someone better for dm or RB. If no one was available just save the money and don't use levers.

Saw many reports today that Xavi is now not sure about Messi's return because he doesn't understand how he'll fit Messi and RL9 in together.

I think it won't work. Lewy has a very different personality to Suarez and Neymar. They'll fall out.

Lol, Mbappe has a bigger ego than Lewa and he gets along fine with Messi.

Does he? There were reports all over the place he wants to leave in January

Lewa definitely makes me appreciate Messi more... no way we would have gone out in the groups with him.

I think Mbappe's beef is with Neymar. Anyway, even if old, i would love to see Messi and Lewa link up at Barca

Not a coincidence that we made past group stages in all 16 seasons with Messi...while the first 2 without him, we're clowned to Europa league.

Yes, he was heavily declined by 20/21, but even with the last vestiges of his prime (18/19), he dragged this declining team to a close CL SF encounter with peak Liverpool.

Folks were too busy slinging shit at him when with "prime, 50 goals a season Lewa" and a bunch of new signing, we got absolutely made a mockery of by Inter (forget Bayern).

In Messis last season Barca finished in Group 2nd to a Juve team that went out the next round to Porto.

Nothing would be gteed even with Messi if Xavi had team playing like this and so easy to expose defensively.

Not even sure where Messi would fit in these tactics that wouldnt piss him off.. but maybe Xavi adapts for him.

PSG went from final and semi final without Messi to last 16 with him as well if looking at it another way to this point.

Laughing at the Messiboys.

Lol Messi just had an easier group and better managers(Koeman is better than Xavi).

If Messi had this group he'd do fuckall. We all know what happens when he faces Bayern.

Just got easier groups.

With Tuchel/Valverde or any average manager Barca easily qualify from the groups this season.

True. This works wonders for his legacy.

If he was here this year he would have provided at least 5 clear cut chances for Lewa to finish vs Bayern and not to mention shit on Inter.

It is what it is.

Was hoping Lewa would get us past the group stages but he ain't Messi.

Truth. Barca also had only 14 points from the first 10 matches in Messi's last season.

Title would already be long gone with that form this season.

Well at least Messi's destroyed them twice in 09 CL QFs and 15 CL semis. Unlike your Polish dad, who got leashed and muzzled  As he also did with Dortmund in the CL final.

Lewy has had plenty of good performances against Bayern over the years.

Do your research you moron.

Another one that is over played is Messi 'dragging' Barca to CL semi where were beaten by Liverpool in 2019.

Barca in groups beat Inter and drew away to them without Messi and beat Real 5-1 without Messi around that time also.

They then beat Lyon in last 16 and a poor Man Utd side in QF... There was no real 'dragging' there even if he did play well at home to Lyon and Man Utd Barca were heavy favs to go through and had by far better side.

Happens on both sides though whetherit be Messi or Ronaldo being discussed.

Lewandowski is top scorer in Bayern vs Dortmund games with 32 goals in 11 years. That includes 5 goals against Bayern in 2010/11-2013/14 and 27 goals against Dortmund in 2014/15-2021/22. And bear in mind in 2010/11 he wasn't a starter.
