Of course we need better than ferran. I'm just emphasizing the financial utilitarianism of getting rid of Lewa. I don't see him contributing next season with his charges. Ideally we sign a replacement obviously.

If he understands his role for the next season is to share time with Torres, maybe he could still work for a season, but that would be my approach. Don't expect to start every game anymore.

Call me crazy but Ferran Torres is the exact striker type this club needs. Lewa is 10x more talented but sadly past his prime by a long ways. 1 more year and then we go for a mobile striker. Preferably one that presses like a demon as well

Yeah, Flick will have to rest him way more next season, as we're still too broke for a worldclass striker transfer. We don't need him to score 30 goals in the first half of the season, only to disappear in the second half. And he won't get younger.

Lewa can't win a duel against Leganes or Valladolid ffs to save his life anymore. 30M If dude gets a perfect pass/cross in the box and isn't closed down he still might score sometimes - but that's about it.

Ferran is great this season and deserves chance as a starter next season, but reality is Ferran in from of his life is just slightly better than Lewandowski in poorest form of his life.
