8 - Pedri

Jesus H christ Pedri does have to play every game... even before the next game comes his body rejects the rest.

Some lad.

Garcia or Casado at DM with Frenkie more freedom role it will have to be by looks of it.

Other far less likely options would be Fermin in box to box and FDJ defensive or some minutes for Tommy but given he hasnt been training and the differences in levels is a chasm probably not.

This is fully expected. A player who before struggled massively with injuries, has 1 full season without any and plays every minute and then they thought he can go another one without injury

Raphinha, Yamal, Pedri, Lewa, Olmo, Balde basically all important players struggling with injuries so far. We can only hope in 2nd half of the season their situation will be better

This is a good opportunity to learn playing without Pedri... or it's 3-5 weeks of absolute hell. We'll see

It should 'only' be two games he misses if back after intl break.

But away to Celta and more so away to Brugge wont be easy. Brugge have a lot of pace and play good football.

Perhaps it is not as bad as made out and they are keeping him away from Spain and DLF.

What on earth are they doing in training? Someone from our fitness staff clearly needs to be fired. The worst part is that the only top-tier teams that had a free summer are Barca and Liverpool. However, we now have much bigger issues than those teams that played in that ridiculous Club World Cup. This season is definitely going to be a disaster.

I thought medical staff was doing great job last season but seems they were just pretty lucky. Or they planned it but only thought of short term and 1 season

Perharps everyone just gave all of their energy, their best into last season and they have little left for this year.

I don't think so. We have a very young squad and we are still in October. Something was done horribly wrong during the preparation for this season. Additionally, players had a long summer break so they had more than enough time to recover. IMHO there are only two possible scenarios:

1. Our training sessions are either inadequate, horribly planned or too intense so players are exhausted.
2. Players were fooling around during the preseason and now they are paying the price.

I am 99% sure that this has nothing to do with bad luck. There are too many injuries for that.
