This coach will never not play him at 10 lol.

He can play there so it's not a big problem.

A part of me was telling me, we could do de Jong, gavi, pedri at 10 in games like very Rayo.

But flick doesn't have that level of tactical adjustments in him, it's all like for like subs.

Anyways great goal

Lol what, you're saying Flick isn't to do something as simple as moving Pedri forward and havin Gavi and FDJ in the double pivot???
Gavi was injured that game btw

Spain is hard to beat. When you have great goalkeepers, genius like Pedri and magician in Lamine, the rest only need to be solid. And Spain is more than solid. Much more.

They won the euros after he picked up an injury, olmo stepped in seamlessly, so I wouldn't say they have no options, and if rodri gets back to 80% of his best that will more than make up for it.

But I agree about yamal

Yamal helps them a lot. You cannot afford to crowd the center and give Yamal space out wide. This helps players like Merino and Oyarzabal. Spain has a good team going. Pretty good stuff with Porro as a Carvajal replacement also.

Pedri was much deeper last night than he was in games lost to Portugal etc.

They are finding a role to get him more freedom to go and find the ball and help dictate.

Set up looked almost like Zubimendi DM, Pedri box to box to get on ball and Merino box to box to get on end of things and less in build up.
