8 - Pedri

Pedri obviously improves team but he hasnt been all that amazing this season either for Barca.

Last 5 games he played... Lost to PSG, lost to Sevilla, lost to Real, drawing with Girona.

The other game was Olympiakos at home.. where Barca midfield was shite until they went down to 10 men.

Pedri is one of best in world but he is most likely struggling with team like last night particularly down to 10 men for majority.

Even though we lost to PSG, you could see Pedri's influence in that game; he wasn't afraid to get the ball and was able to hold it, so we battled in midfield.

Against Chelsea, it's like our midfield was lost, a Pedri would've added bit of stability there

Pedri was poor v PSG and lost ball badly a number of times on front of defence as has done a lot lately.

PSG dribbled past him for fun multiple times.

Some good moments but he was not good that game.

Vitinha ran it more and more as went on.

I relly dont think players were hiding.

They just looked a bit stunned at a pace and physicality never get near in La Liga.

I would bet my bottom dollar a lot of those players think EPL is over rated etc and they would show them how it is...

Same Chelsea torn to bits vs Bayern and drew vs Qarabaq

Don't think Pedri helps that much in this midfield formation vs teams like Chelsea. Got beaten in pace, intensity, physicality, and these are exactly the weak points of players like Pedri.

Nah he would help because he has the skills to play out of pressure and progress the ball, even when being pressed.

Pedri was losing the ball multiple times when pressed in last few games this season.

Did it against Sevilla, Girona more than once and PSG lost it in bad areas.

But lets pretend otherwise.

Love Pedri but he hasnt been this huge game changer this season in way made out.

Barca struggled in most of his recent matches to dominate midfield fully.

Same with Olympiakos.. they pressed and caused issues until got red card.

Pedri helps.. clearly but not this solve all as made out.

I demand laugh emoji from all that agree below.

Well of course he's gonna lose the ball against PSG & Sevilla, he was the only midfielder actively trying to do anything and move the ball forward, what is he going to do have a 100% success rate at that

Pedri needed rest and he got that now. When a player of his proven quality is making mistakes he did before his injury, it likely is because he is overplayed and lacks the necessary freshness in his legs.

Fake news and he did it multiple times v Girona.

Always excuse for Pedri.

Love him but he has been losing ball in bad areas a lot this season and dribbled past very easily in amongst quality moments also.

Training with the team, should get a few minutes against Alaves. Good to have him back. We can't compete in big games without him.
