8 - Pedri

Reported that he will be back after international break.

If true then some 3D chess moves from Flick and Pedri :pep:
Flick just said that he thinks Rapha and Joan will be back after the break and maybe Pedri. Flick is neither a doctor, nor a fortune teller, it's just his opinion and maybe hope. Usual accounts milk the story now.

I want to say don't speed up his recovery ( if even possible), but what choice do we have with Frenkie gone for the next game.

Olmo played well in the Pedri role at weekend.

Good news going forward for resting Pedri.

Olmo had good workate, closed well and was calm on ball in middle third.

Gave away ball trying thing a few times around box but has to try things there.

If Flick goes with the 2nd half tactics of weekend it will help Pedri more if the he isnt expected to press like a maniac every time opposition get ball.

There is scope for playing FDJ, Pedri and Olmo in a more fluid midfield if Olmo can repeat that performance.

Maybe against good offensive teams they try to play without a cam. But is frenkie capable of the single pivot? What we saw with xavi back then, he wasn‘t

On the rare occassion Frenkie played single pivot under Xavi he was good.. but wouldnt have to be like that anyway.
But not at his best i think. We should maximize a players qualities and he is at his peak on the double pivot.

You mean playing olmo as cam?

"I like Pedri, he is an extraordinary player. I love him because he has a story behind him, full of hard work and overcoming challenges. And, above all, he has his own story." - Iniesta
