8 - Pedri

I still don't think he is all that. sorry folks. would be a top player if the game was 5v5 Street football.
A great close control, silky technique and a good passing vision but no physical traits at all.
Also no urgency, always laid back.
I don't think he has many hypemen left on here.

2-3 years ago he was a holy cow. Not so much anymore.

He still can be top 5 mid in the world if he can add energy, urgency into his game. Though it requires big changes.

Pedri plays mostly this season as an offensive midfielder, behind striker. He just doesn't have attacking instinct, shooting ability.

Way better than that bum Arda though.

I completely agree that Arda has a better shooting technique than Pedri (even though i think he has just a good run now), my point was that comparing them on goals makes no sense

Pedri is also, perhaps falsely, rated highly because he burst onto the scene and then had an excellent EuroCopa for Spain that narrowly missed out on the final by penalties.

Spains best player, but then International football is a step slower and less physical, which helped Pedri look great. But much like the Arthur fallacy versus Tottenham, you go back and watch, and it is alot of simple actions, or a ton of time without pressure on the ball which you don't get in the big club fixtures.

He had a spring in his step in that video ^ that he no longer has. He looked fresh and exuberant. What a shame.

I'm actually very much looking forward to what kind of Euro he will have with the last one fresh in mind.

Midfield 3 with Rodri, Pedri, Olmo?
Front 3 with Nico, Morata, Yamal?

I think he may have great Euro. Spain's setup is fit to his game. And he should have plenty of energy for Euro as he missed most of this season already.
