6 - Gavi

It's so boring these days where Jamrock can whip out a Gavi quote and JamDav doesn't come back with a retort, and a 30 page debate then breaks out.

:(

I don't know who has ever debated jamdav for 30 pages, but it must be gavi himself because it ain't me.

Good attempt though, I get the sentiment at least.

The way things look right now next summer the club will need to buy a LW, ST and CB.

Club will need to cash in on either this guy or Casado to fund that.

Every team he's been on, wins in the training matches and he wins every individual competition in training.

The competitive spirit of this guy, 6 more months and the world better he ready.

Ansu was also famous to be in most of the winner photos. Obviously Gavi trains hard to convince Flick to count on him more. His position is the most crowded with Olmo and Fermin.
But being on the winner photo alone doesn't say much.

Truth the process bro, 6 months.

His position isn't the 10 though, flick said as much, said he's a 6 or 8, just playing in the 10 to get a rhythm.

Gavi, Araujo, Christensen

If these 3 players come back to their best next season we are winning every fucking thing

As for his position remember Betis in CDR. Olmo false 9, Gavi behind him. Pedri and Frenkie. Lamine and Rapha. The level of our team in that game was absolutely insane. Technique in our attack, wonderful. Maybe the best I've seen from us in 24/25. And that against a pretty good La Liga side

Problem is we don't have an 8 in Flick's system. And the 6 is overcrowded too. I don't see Gavi taking Frenkie's spot. He has more chances on the 10, as Olmo and Fermin are easier to replace.

He's not good enough as a controller (serviceable possession recycler, but that's not enough), so he really needs to up his productivity. This ball-winning-midfielder shtick ain't it. Fermin has 19+9 G+A in 88 games, many of those off the bench, and Gavi has 10+14 in 153 appearances despite playing many of those at CAM and LW.

Talk that it will be difficult for Gavi to get into the 11 this season. Still young, but 21 come early August, not young enough for the excuses he has been getting for his short comings previously. It's business time now.

Long season ahead but I would play Olmo and Fermin ahead of him at AMC, and Frenkie, Pedri, Casado and Bernal potential ahead of him at pivot.

Basically the odd man out.

If ends the season behind all of them, realistically, what could we fetch for him, and where?

Cole Palmer left City at 21 to play more with just 19 league games for City and no league goals under his belt. He went for 40 million pounds.

Meanwhile Gavi has 6 goals and 12 assists in LaLiga over 108 games.
