6 - Gavi

So exactly what de Jong does since joining Barca, but with an ACL injury. Lol

Gavi 3 goals 3 assist 42 games and ACL injury.

De jong 2 & 2 46 games.

The type of game gavi had yesterday, is the type de Jong would be called WC for, but gavi held to a higher standard and rightfully so
I would bet real money as long as the two are here Gavi would never take De Jong's spot. Just won't happen.

The image of De Jong as some kind of placeholder is not aligned with reality. He's top percentile in long balls and final third passes. His main weakness is defense, but on the ball he is incredible.

Gavi was less bad in the recent months but still nothing special. Next season will be very important for his career at Barca. We have many midfielders, most very young so there will be departures in the next seasons. For me right now Gavi is the first one to go but he can change that.

😂 He took his spot already in the past no reason he can't do it again, but in the double pivot he's competing against pedri not de Jong.

I just laughed at your recycle possession take, because that's literally what de jong does.

He's had games like gavi had yesterday and his fanboys posted almost identical stats and proclaimed him the best Midfielder on pitch, but that's just a good game for gavi and rightfully so BTW , just different levels of standards to be held to.

I'll take any bet you make regarding football and talent identification, Because 95% chance I'm winning.

According to Gavi himself, he not only plans not to leave Barça now, but also not to leave in general during what is sure to be a long professional career.

"People believe what they read in every medium. It could be that PSG want me. And I understand that people believe it. But that's not going to happen. I am very relaxed. My hope and my mentality is to spend my whole career at Barça.

Gavi on his nature on the pitch: "A lot of people see me as a competitor, a fighter or whatever you want to call it. And that's what I am; I'm very ambitious. But I also have quality with the ball and a lot of people don't appreciate that. I understand the people who hate me because of the way I play. Maybe it's not so pleasant for them to watch me. But many people underestimate me as a footballer, with the ball. That's why they have no idea. But as long as those who know soccer know how good I am with the ball, I don't care."

Look at him telling entire team and technical staff what needs to be done next season to have a better shot a winning the CL

"We lack that experience in key moments of the match,” he told Mundo Deportivo.

“It’s the little details that make or break a final. We were guilty of conceding so many goals in the Champions League"

“We scored too, but it wasn’t enough. We have to improve on that next year to win that Champions League: defending better".

He's probably the one who sat flick down and said I love your football buddy, but we gotta tighten this up at critical moments.

It's so boring these days where Jamrock can whip out a Gavi quote and JamDav doesn't come back with a retort, and a 30 page debate then breaks out.
