You are underestimating mental illness.

For a majority of footballers with anxiety or depression, there career was either finished, or was a free fall from that moment, or played at some lower club.
Bojan Krkic, Bartra, Dybala, Ilicic.

It's easier to get back from back to back cruciate knee injuries than from mental problems.

If you buy a player with mental issues, they can come back in any moment.

Big clubs surely won't buy him.
For midtable teams he has too high wages.
So, the only options are Barcelona, smaller teams, Uruguay or Usa.
Dybala did not had mental illness lmao

What is is about Barcelona that attracts this kind of bitch made players. He’s totally unfit to play for a top club. You cannot win champions league with this kind of losers

Ffs, he doesn't have a mental problem - he just isn't any good and its slowly catching up with him. Yet we gave him a new contract until 3031, whoever decided that was ok has the mental problem... Ara just sucks. We can't go around saying players that suck all have mental problems - they just overachieved 1-2 seasons and they weren't great to begin with.

Answer could be that he is simply a bit thick. Seen these type of players who can't control themselves and make bad decisions under pressure.

Just play him in lesser matches from now on and hope some bid arrives. Should be some mid table team that will have him and where he can revive his career.

He talked a few times how sometimes he can't play due to an anxiety, how he suffers from anxiety when playing on away big filled stadiums.
He also talked about loneliness and how a life of a footballer is very lonely.
(During his Juventus and Roma days).
You can Google it.
Big teams weren't seriously after him after Juve days also partly due to anxiety reasons.

Ok, that is something which everyone of us would say here and there.

But let's say it that on a spectrum from 1 to 100, where 1 means low anxiety, 50 means average levels and 100 means high anxiety: Dybala is probably somewhere at 70-80.

On the other hand, Suarez, Puyol or Mascherano are at 1-10 level.

What you just specifically described is very common not just in football, but any high-pressure professional sports and does not constitute mental illness. I also can't find anything that he suffered from anxiety playing in away big games. If you can provide me some sources, that would be great.

Big teams were not after him mainly due to his constant injuries and his misfit in modern football

This whole idea about anxiety is overblown. It always get reducted to how good you are. It maybe counts as something like 5%. A great player who is shy and has anxiety problems is going to always be better than an average player who doesn't. It's just how it is. Anxiety manifests and is a big weakness when you are facing things you are not comfortable with. But when you are good at your job, its effects are minimal.

Some of the best in their fields were shy people and could pass off as people dealing with some forms of anxiety. It means nothing when you're good. By the same logic, many worldwide superstars confessed to feeling nervous before concerts. What matters most is to perfect yourself, and evolve, and not let the emotions get in the way of performing at the level you prepare at. The weaker who can't do that don't fail because of anxiety. There's always bigger flaws that get in the way than only this.

Why people want fans to give him abuse I will never understand. He is a player who always gave his all and clearly loves the club with all the Barca memorabilia around his house. He's fucked up one time too many, but does that mean he deserves to be abused ???

Nobody who gives their best for the club deserves that. That should be reserved for players who try to fuck the club over.

I get that people want him to come out and say he fucked up, apologise, whatever, but that is very very rare in today's football world, and players are fucking up left, right and centre.

Matheus Cunha has just had a go at his own fans after a shit performance against Wolves. Did Araujo ever stoop that low with us?? Will Cunha be booed by Utd fans in the next game? No chance.

You have to understand he is giving his all and coming back at night to see Barca 'fans' abusing his wife on Instagram. This is the fucking reality. Fans these days are cunts. Across the board. We don't deserve no apologies.

' Fans' are now hating on a Christian man, going on a Christian pilgrimage and trying to twist it like he is in favour of Israel. And they are going to hate him even more, based on this twisted lie.

'Fans' these days don't deserve shit.

As long as he gives his all in the shirt, I will support him.

Lad gave us some good seasons and at a high level. Club and player alike just didn't time his move onwards.

There is still a good player there for the right team and style.

Preferably Serie A with a respectable fee this Winter. Or enough to cover Senesi or someone like that.
